"Shirt," Dieter swore when their sled stopped mid-movement once again, almost making him fall to the side. The mana-collecting jewels in its sides shone dangerously, as if they were going to burst at any second. "At this rate, we will move faster if we push that ducking sled on our own. Ronzio…"
The master of golems and other artifice sighed and, with visible reluctance, jumped off the sled, landing in the waist-deep snow. He put his leather-bound goggles over his eyes, took one look at the sparkling jewels, and hummed somberly.
"Well?" Dieter asked impatiently from his high perch. Although he, like everyone in his group, was dressed warmly, he had no desire to get any more snow on his clothing.
"They need to be discharged again, Milordo," Ronzio said, shrugging. At least he didn't need any further urging to get to work, fiddling with his strange tools.
