Hopes of starting a studio

Back at her apartment, Wan Jia made her bath water slightly hotter than usual and soaked in. She closed her eyes as she let the water relax her.

Today, she had achieved a feat she wouldn't have dreamed of even in a thousand lifetimes. After racking her thoughts for months and coming up with such a solid plan, perhaps she may need to forfeit it and use a much easier way to handle things.

When she enrolled in H City University after leaving the Capital, she instantly became the unrivaled school goddess and successfuly harvested the hearts of all men and even bent ladies.

Everyone naturally wanted to befriend her or at least appear to be in her circle of friends. Of course everyone would want to be associated with the school goddess.

She had a whole bunch of fake friends and never lacked anyone to go shopping, gossip or watch movies with. She would smile at everyone who wanted to get close to her and only showed her happy side to the world. Her "cool" lifestyle made all guys wish to date her and all girls wish to he like her. Yet no one truly knew that behind their dear goddess' beautiful smile, there were tears enough to soak her pillows every night.

Not even a single person realised that she was falling into depression. That was until she met Lawyer An. He was already a slightly famous lawyer in the nation at the time and only went to H City University to complete a side course.

When they met, he had tried to woo her and she politely turned him down claiming to be married, but using his experience in psychology, he knew things were not as simple as they appeared.

Although she refused to seek therapy, Lawyer An became a friend she could trust and she let down her guard around him, even telling him anout her situation with her ex husband.

It was this very lawyer that was going to help her sue for Little Jia's custody.

However, at this point Wan Jia was starting to doubt her decision. The idea was just too risky and she wasn't even sure she would succeed. If she failed then Lu Aotian would really not let her go near her daughter ever again. Maybe she should just take the little girl and leave while he still has his guard down...

Wan Jia only left the bathtub when the water started getting cold. She remnisced her life in University as she applied cream onto her soft skin. She remembered how in the first week, she had caused such a stir in the institution that she had been summoned by the higher ups and given a warning. Her mouth twitched. Was it her fault for being too beautiful?

She remembered the first banquet she attended. It was the first time she had worn a dress ever since joining H City University. She had looked so beautiful that a certain foreign designer accompanying a friend had approached her...

That was right! That foreign designer! He had given her his business card and told her to look for him if she ever needed any help in the fashion industry!

But it had been long ago already. Would she really get the card? Even if she did, what if the man had changed his contacts?

Sigh, only one way to find out.

She bolted into her study room and rummaged through her books for a long time.

"Got it!" she exclaimed.

If this man could help her, then she would be able to debut in the fashion industry.

That night, she barely slept and took out her phone first thing when she woke up.

She took a deep breath and dialed the long string of digits.

After three rings, the call was connected and a slightly hoarse voice bellowed through

"Hello, Mondial Studios, this is Alex Baker."

Yes!yes! Yes! it was him! Wan Jia almost praised eight generations of her ancestors.

"Hello?" the voice came through again.

"H...hello Alex, this is Wan Jia....the one from H City University, we met at the school president's banquet. Do you remember me?" She scolded herself inwardly for sounding so stupid.

"Oh! It's goddess Wanwan! I thought you forgot about me! Does the goddess need me for something? Wait, let me call you with my personal number."

"Ok"

The seconds felt like years. Almost a minute later, her phone rang.

"Does the goddess need me for anything?" The other party sounded like he was going to throw a party just for recieving her phone call.

"Yes, I indeed need your help, fashion- related."

"That... are you in the capital? I coincidentally have a business meeting there in two days. Why don't we meet then and talk about it?"

"Okay, I'll be waiting."

"I'll contact you when my meeting is over. If there's nothing else I should get back to work."

"Thank you, see you then."

Wanjia was too excited. Did she just set up a meeting with a fashion icon? When she had almost gotten a brain haemorrhage just trying to start a studio... pfft! Why did she forget about such an important person before?

She took out her drafts and examined them. Although they were quite beautiful, she had a feeling they lacked something....

Whatever! She had just found herself a mentor and he would help her point out what was lacking.

Fashion industy, here I come!
