Max let out a sigh, and his gaze drifted towards the window. The classroom was already buzzing with murmurs of the impossible, the unimaginable incident that just happened: Max, a long-dead student who was kicked for being powerless, was alive and sitting in front of them, seemingly unaffected by the horror that surrounded him.
Orelia had called for silence, and it was as if time slowed down. Everyone in the room seemed to be holding their breath. The energy in the room was thick with tension, and Max could feel it pulsating around him, although he didn't care much.
He turned to face the class, his eyes scanning over the faces of his classmates. He noticed Eric, a redhead amongst the crowd, who had never judged him for having no divination. Eric was still staring at him in shock, but with a hint of disbelief that Max couldn't see past.
It was then that the teacher started talking.
