When Mimir received his payment from the Kingdom's minister of finance, he was on his way to leave the Asuran Palace.
It was then that he saw a certain young girl waiting for him several royal maids and royal guards with her. It was the princess of the Asura Kingdom, Ariel Anemoi Asura.
"Ah it's Mimir, good morning." the princess greeted Mimir with a curtsy. Although normally that would be wrong to do to someone below her social status, Ariel thought it was the correct thing to do to her savior.
"Nice to meet you again young princess Ariel-sama." Mimir greeted back using this Kingdom's customs. Though he wasn't a noble he studied this Kingdom's etiquette.
"Are you leaving already?" the young princess asked.
"Indeed, my business with the Asura King has ended. I'll be continuing my journey." Mimir gave his reply to the young princess.
"But..." Ariel made a sad face. Though no matter what kind of expression she makes, Mimir thinks she looks really pretty cute. "Can you stay for the night? I wanted to talk with you more. Even Lilia has left..."
Mimir made a sympathetic smile at her. For such a young girl she already had countless experience of assassinations. She didn't have any real friends to play with, and she has to attend her special education as Royalty.
"Please don't get sad your highness."
Then he pulls out something from thin air and there suddenly appears a beautiful necklace with a magic crystal as its jewel. Its craftsmanship alone was so beautiful it might rival the dwarves. The magic crystal as its jewel is colored blue that matched Ariel's eyes. That's not all, there were even some intricate complex carvings of magical formations in them, making it a really high level magic tool.
"I'll be giving it to you Princess. It's a magic item I especially crafted. I think it would be beautiful on you."
"-! Woah..." Ariel's eyes turned sparkles. As a Royalty she had seen numerous jewelries in the palace, in the court, and in noble parties worn by noblewomen. But the thing in Mimir's hands was something cut above the rest in terms of beauty.
"So beautiful... I haven't seen jewelry prettier than this!" Ariel's previous sadness was gone. Children are easy to please if you give them their favorite candies. The same thing Mimir did to Ariel.
"I believe that you would become a great ruler that will rule this Kingdom someday." Mimir said.
The entourage of bodyguards and maids turned stiff by those words. These are the words of the 'Sage' known for his vast knowledge and wisdom. Truly his every word holds great weight. For him to say such a political thing, it might shake the Kingdom's political foundation. It might be just casual words spoken from a stranger, but nobles would think princess Ariel would have Mimir under her political faction.
The bodyguards and the maids looked around and saw some third party nobles witnessing this scene. They internally shuddered from the thought of how this might affect them in the future.
Their worries were meaningless though. Mimir made a barrier that surrounds them preventing sounds to pass through from anyone eavesdropping.
"But, I'm just a Princess," she said unsure of herself "Gravel-niisama and Halfaus-niisama already wants to be King. Can I really?"
"Of course you can, Ariel-hime. Your fate is in your hands."
With a gentle tap of his magic staff on the ground, a complex flow of Mana begins to cover Mimir's body. His body levitated from the ground cut off from gravity and soared through the skies.
Mimir stopped for a moment and smiled at her gently. "I wish a good fortune for your highness, til we meet again."
Ariel watched the silhouette of Mimir's back flying away. This will become a memory of something she will treasure greatly.
In the future the power built within the item Mimir gifted her would be an immense help to her battle with the throne, but this story will be for the future to tell.

Days later Mimir settled in a Rural Village.
After buying a small plot of land, he built a house with his magic with a snap of his fingers.
The house is mostly made up of magical wood. The architecture is simple and the atmosphere inside was really cozy. It's big enough to house a small family of three.
It is composed of three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room combined with a kitchen, a toilet, and a study room.
The place also already had furnitures of wood made with magic. There were also some rare plants with magical properties filled in some clay pot made with Earth magic or hanging from the ceiling.
There were magical lamps that will light up to brighten the house once it gets dark.
Outside is a yard full of various vegetables and rare plants he replanted from his collection.
The whole process only took a single day to finish with the help of magic.
The place was so cozy, it could be called a comfort home away from stress and isolated from the secular world. It's a perfect home for a vacation.
The house also seemed really magical. The flow of Mana on this land seem to harmonize with nature which made it really fantastical.
Living in this home would surely calm their minds, purify their hearts, and feel the warmth to their very soul.
"I am Mimir~🎶🎵 A wandering mage~🎵🎶 They call me a Sage~🎵🎶"
He's humming a song that was out of tune while rearranging his collection of books in his study room. Each shelf was filled with thick books filled with records of wisdom he accumulated throughout the years.
After finally finishing his work building and designing the house, Mimir was on the second floor on the balcony from his room.
Mimir sat on a rocking chair gazing at the village down below. The night sky was sparkling with stars. He was a wooden cup and kettle and poured himself some tea made from rare tea leaves full of Mana.
"But still... Something else is missing..."
The house felt empty for him.
It's not like he's an Immortal that had already separated themselves from any mortal desires.
After years of fighting and research, he longed for a human companionship.
But if you ask him, why can't he just agree with Princess Ariel's request of staying longer? For sure after staying long together with the Princess he'd be given titles and land by the King, and he'll end up getting his own subjects for serving the Princess. He'll get human relations for sure, and heck there'll be a lot of them.
"Alright fine then, I'll do it myself." Mimir told himself and came up with an idea to resolve this emptiness in his heart.
