Murderer In Moonlight

A gloomy night with moonshining, clouds flowing along the sky with the breeze. Even though it seemed like it was about to rain, a person was moving along a dark alley, in an hour when no one dares to go out........

Someone's Sick

Aiden was furious enough to jump and strangle Noir who just said it even though it was for fun.

Even though Adrienne said that nothing happened between them he wasn't sure about himself, after seeing that footage it felt like he really did something.

"Stop jocking Noir! This might be more serious than we both think it is. She is my personal assistant and how can I continue to be with her as if nothing happened between us?"

"So that means something did happen between the two of you?"

"I really am not sure about that Noir? I don't remember anything that happened last night. How am I supposed to speak with her again? What if I did spout some nonsense while I was feeling drunk?

"You did spout so much nonsense even when we were at home, you mistook me for Adrienne and said enough.

Even if something happened, just be cool about it man. You both are adults anyways. After all it's not as if you forced her into it. She is strong enough to beat you up. So I am pretty sure she consented to it.

By the way, how did you get here? I don't see Adrienne here."

"Came here by taxi," Aiden said leaning onto his table.

"Wait what! How though? You knew how to ride a taxi?"

"Oh no, I didn't. I just found one, got into it and asked them to drop me here."

"I will go and bring Adrienne, that girl must be lost out there. 1st advice from me, if you happen to sleep with a girl, don't leave her like that. That hurts the pride of all of us men."

Aiden took a seat as Noir left his office smiling at Aiden who was behaving like he was out of this world.

He continued to lean onto his chair browsing some information until Adrienne arrives. The time passed in the blink of an eye. For the first time, he missed breakfast and lunch and it was already 4 PM.

He finally decided to call Noir, just to know if something happened.

"Aiden try not to be surprised, I have a bit of bad news with me, Noir said as soon as he answered the phone.

Adrienne is missing! But well not exactly. We know where she is but I don't think that she is feeling alright now. It is better if you don't meet her now. I will send someone to keep an eye on her.

Aiden did you by any chance told her some harsh words or leave her all by herself there?"

Aiden was out of words, he knew that he was wrong. "I shouldn't have believed her words that easily. I probably did something to her last night, he ran out of the office hoping to speak it out with her."

He couldn't even think where she could be, since Noir said that she was not in a mood to meet him, Aiden knew that he would never tell him her location.

He stopped right before entering the elevator and started to think again. For some reason, he couldn't bring himself to go and get her back.

But at the same time, he knew that he must take responsibility if he did something to her.

He walked back to his office trying to forget everything that happened.

"She is a strong girl with a strong heart. I am pretty sure about the fact that she can deal with someone simple as this."

He went back to his table as he continued to work with the other matters that were waiting for his attendance.

He spent the whole night trying to figure out everything that was wrong inside the company without wasting a single minute. Neither food nor sleep wasn't a problem for him.

He finally got up from his chair and looked at the clock that was hanging on the wall.

"It is already 11 P.M, I wonder whether she is back at home?" he said as he stepped out of the office.

He was surprised to see his head secretary still working, just to satisfy his curiosity he stopped by her desk.

"As far as I am aware, your working hours are already over. What are you still doing here?

Oh yes Master, today I was advised to assist you until you get out of work.

Who exactly told you to do so?

It was Assistant Adrienne, she told me that she won't be able to be at work with you today because she is sick. So she strictly advised me not to leave your side until you get home.

I suppose you are leaving home now. I will drive you home, she said as she picked up her bag.

Thank you, Aiden said as h walked out with her."

"Master, I will leave now then. Do you have anything else that requires my help?

Not at all, you can go now. Aiden said as he walked into the building where his apartment was."

He hoped that Adrienne would be home so that he could have a word with her. But also he knew that he would be at a loss when she reveals what happened last night.

He opened the door typed the password and walked in, as found the whole house in darkness. He didn't want to care about her anymore.

But out of curiosity, he looked at the table, even though he expected nothing to be on the table but all his favourite dishes were waiting for him on the table as they used to be in the past.

He walked past the table and stepped towards her room, even though the door was closed, he opened it without making any sound as he didn't want to get caught if she was inside the room.

There was indeed someone on the bed, breathing hard.

He quickly stepped near the bed to see what was going on. He was Adrienne on the bed covered in a few blankets, Shivering even though the temperature was more than normal.

He placed his hand lightly on her forehead and found her burning with a fever, in fear that she will wake up he walked out of the room closing the door without making any sound.

"Did I cause that?" He thought to himself.

He walked out of the room heading towards the Pharmacy to get her some medicine.

He suddenly stopped.

"Why am I even doing this? She should take care of herself not me. Oh my god, why do I feel like I am the one wrong here? It's not like I gave her the fever."

Even after telling himself all those things, he still walked toward the Pharmacy.

He quickly headed back home and heated up some water to mix the medicine in. Since all the steps were written on the packet he had no problem getting it ready, he put it in a flask and put it beside the stool that was beside her bed so that she will drink it when she woke up.

Other than that, even though he knew that he could do many other things for her, he still knew that it was not appropriate to do so.
