Immortality

Many great things existed across the boundless infinity of the Multiverse. Some things beyond comprehension and some within.

In a certain world, there was a being who held power Eternity, the name of that being was Kaguya Houraisan.

In this world, a certain genius of medicine named Eirin Yagokoro made an elixir using the power of Kaguya Houraisan. This elixir could make the drinker immortal.

It was named the Hourai Elixir and it had a few effects. The person who drank the elixir would gain Eternal youth and no matter whether they would be beheaded, incinerated, or taking any other form of damage, they would always revive without exception, Complete destruction would result in immediate and complete restoration; They would not need sustenance such as food, water, air, warmth, or sleep to stay alive.

The Hourai Elixir was permanent, its immortality was irreversible and couldn't be copied or interfered with, the one who drank from it would always be restored to pinnacle condition.

The first taste of the medicine would make the drinker incapable of growing up or aging. The second taste would cure all imperfections, granting perfect physiology and making the drinker incapable of becoming ill. The third taste made one completely immortal to the truest sense. Drinkers become an existence completely independent of even the concept of reality, thus making one not subject to the bounds of life, death, or even manipulation. This made them completely indestructible, and it extended to their mental and spiritual states just as much as their physical state.

Normally, I would have hesitated to drink such a thing for 2 reasons, what if the universe ended? What if I wanted to die? Spending a hellish eternity in nothingness didn't seem a good deal...

Thankfully, the multiverse had no end and even if it did, I could time travel... And I had a few ideas and how to undo it in case I wanted to die, there is always someone or something greater in the multiverse and nothing was absolute. To undo it would take an omnipotent entity but those were not rare for me, I could just search for one above all or something.

In any case, I was not planning to die so I willed to appear right before Kaguya Houraisan would drink the elixir.

She stopped mid-way and looked at me with wide eyes, confusion showing on her face since I had just appeared out of nowhere.

Before she could say anything, I used the moment when she was distracted to snatch the elixir out of her hand in a swift motion and quickly teleported back to my room. "Wai..." She tried to stop me but couldn't.

My heart was beating quite fast but it seemed I was successful as I looked at the Hourai elixir in my hand. I smiled joyfully.

I took a sip without hesitation.

I instantly felt different, like some shackles suddenly vanished from my being. It seemed as if I had been carrying a bag full of stones on my back for my entire life without knowing and some of the stones were thrown out.

I felt calm, at peace, and extremely comfortable.

I took the second sip.

My body felt warm as something began changing within me, I looked at my surroundings with wide eyes as I grew taller in a matter of seconds since my vision grew higher. My body went through a metamorphosis in those seconds and then everything halted. I felt light and serene, all my previous worries seemed so childish now. The shackles were almost gone, I felt like I could fly.

I took the third sip.

Boom!

Something exploded in my very being, all the shackles were destroyed. I felt unusual, it was an indescribable feeling. It was as if I was not part of the world yet I was in it. A strong feeling of independence and freedom made me smile in joy. I felt at peace, all my worries were gone. 'If there is a heaven, it should feel like this.' I thought.

I felt everlasting. The mere idea of death that had scared me when I was younger seemed so ridiculous now. I just knew that I was deathless and Eternal. Coupling this Immortality with my ability to go wherever I wanted, I had found absolute freedom. Nothing could shackle me or hold me, not even time or space.

I walked quickly and stood in front of the mirror to check how I looked after the transformation.

I had short black hair, my hair had become silkier and much softer. My blue eyes seemed as if they were glowing very faintly. My skin had become absolutely perfect same as my body and muscles, I had the perfect body I always dreamt of having. I had been 5'10''(177cm) previously but now I was 6'2''(188cm). I looked extremely handsome; I had become the perfect version of myself.

'With this transformation, I should also change my name when traveling... While on Earth I am Lucas and while not, I am Hyperion or Ion for short in case I make some friends in the future. Giving my real name to people can be dangerous, one can't know what exists out there with what powers. Someone might be able to harm me with my real name alone... It's best to be cautious before undertaking this kind of adventure. In very dangerous places, I will just call myself the Traveler.' I decided as I inspected my new appearance. I was very satisfied.

I smiled and looked down at the elixir, a part of it remained.

I teleported directly to where my parents were.

They had gone to visit my grandparents.

I directly appeared in front of my mother who seemed to be reading a book. She looked at me with shock.

I won't go into details, it took hours of explaining and leaving many things out while demonstrating my teleport ability. But in the end, I managed to convince them to take one sip from the elixir after explaining its effects. It was a shock watching them become younger in front of me... My younger siblings didn't need convincing, they just snatched it and drank... My grandparents didn't drink for some reason...

After a most shocking reunion and meeting with my now immortal family, I teleported back into my room, feeling much better.

I had achieved immortality and my family had become immortals as well.

I enjoyed this absolute sense of freedom and bliss for a few minutes then I ordered a Pizza and decided to play some video games before going on my 1st adventure. I decided not to use my newfound power to do anything for the moment.

I easily won every game, enhanced reflexes also came from the transformation... Thankfully I already had perfect control over my peak human strength naturally due to the elixir or I would have broken things. It became boring soon, especially since I knew I could just go inside a universe where the game was reality...

I stopped after a few hours and eating 2 pizzas for enjoyment, '1st I have to check if I can go to the 12th Dimension and see for myself what the hell is going on there and check if I have any other powers, then I will prepare, choose, and teleport to a world to have fun adventuring.'

I close my eyes, feeling a little nervous yet at the same time, excited, '12th Dimension, here I come.'

I teleported.
