Family bonding

“Morning!” I greeted them before sitting down and spooning rice and dish. We are complete this morning breakfast. Maybe my older brother’s schedule at the hospital is loose, it’s only 8 am, I also don’t have classes right now but I have a training.

“Do you have a training tomorrow?” Dad asked while we were eating, I chewed the bacon first before I talk.

"I have a training tomorrow in the afternoon! Why Dad?" I take the juice in the table and drink it.

“You have to move to your condo tomorrow morning, that’s all your free time!” I stopped drinking juice and look at Dad.

“Am I being kicked out?” I asked him while frowning, they just laughed so I pouted my lips.

“It’s not just for me when you move out, it’s for your own sake so you don’t have to come home late at night!” I just nodded to Dad and continue eating.

“Rayne! Who owned the jacket that you washed last night? it’s not yours I guest” I was suddenly choked by Mom question, it wasn’t a big deal but I felt nervous all of a sudden.

“Ahm it’s my friend jacket Mom! I borrowed it hehe!” I replied nervously to my Mom before drinking water and averted my gaze.

“Amara’s son is your friend? What his name again Hon?” Mom asked dad, he looked at me teasingly before answering my Mom, I was even more nervous because dad’s smile was weird, I just bow my head a little and continued eating.

“His name was Frank, your Godson you forgot it?” Dad replied, I frowned because I just found out, God! I’m been living for years but I did found it right now. “He even drove home Rayne last time!” I stopped eating and slowly raise my head, they looked at me as if I had done something wrong.

“Something is happening surprisingly! I hope all have that!” Bryte said teasingly and looked at me mischievously, I turned to my mom and dad who were like Bryte looking at me mischievously. I look at my older brother when he suddenly spoke.

“Is he courting you?” he asked me seriously. I got a chill in my spine because of his seriousness, it is the first time that I saw him like that so I fell so nervous.

“No, Never, got gonna happen!” I promptly object, “he is just a friend! He drove me home because the tire of my big bike is flat at that time, that’s why he asked me if I want a ride that’s all!” I really explained my side because I was nervous as hell.

“why didn’t you use your car? Don’t tell me he picked you up!” He asked me with bitterness in his voice.

“Oh my God, no! He didn’t! I walk that day, I was too lazy to drive… wait a minute! Wait a minute! Why are you so serious huh? I’m kinda nervous you know!” I told him.

“Your sister is not a kid anymore! Mind your own love life! When will you give us a grandchild anyway? Dad asked him, I smile a little because I’m not in the hot seat anymore, he look at dad irritably and shook his head.

“i don’t even have a girlfriend, so don’t ask for a grandchild.” he answer, I look at my parents and laugh so hard, maybe he hasn’t forgotten his ex, well even me I guess I can’t forgot Winnie- his ex, she is so pretty and kind. My brother is so stupid to let her go.

“ Oh really? I smell someone is waiting!” I suppressed my laugh and look at my brother, Bryte avoided her gaze to my brother and pretend that she said nothing.

“at-least I’m not the someone I know who cheated by her boyfriend!” this time I cover my mouth to suppressed my laugh because I can’t take it anymore, Bryte roll her eyes and mocked our brother after a minute they look at me and raised their eyebrows.

“What? Don’t look at me like that, I’m NBSB so shut up!” I finish my food but I stay to get along with them.

“Huh? What is NBSB?” my brother asked so confused.

“No boyfriend since birth duh” I shrugged.

“You are so ugly as fuck that’s why they don’t have an interest at you!” Bryte tease, I mocked her words and roll my eyes.

“Tsk! I don’t do boyfriends, but someday… I will hunt an engineer.” I shrugged not minding what I said.
