The Bad Boy In Suit

The sky rumbled, black clouds ready to spill their contents. Lisa settled out the window of her apartment, the streets were deserted, no one was happy to wait for the rain down there.

Lightning flashes can be seen from a distance. A cloudy morning, just like her mood. Since the real estate agent two days ago asked her to pack up and leave the apartment, her mood hasn't improved.

Lisa looked at the pile of boxes containing her half-packed stuff. Her life wasn't bad, nor did she make her happy, she was just living it, he thought.

The laptop on the table displays her favorite idol group video. Lisa smiled a little to see her, so far apart from payday, living the day as an idol fan, and spending the night watching Korean dramas she thought gave her a special pleasure.

They were all from the Ginseng Country far away, her little happiness. The United States which is so developed has become a dream country for many people out there, just like them, Lisa's little dream also wants to set foot in her dream land.

Lisa rubbed her face, this time it seemed her dream had to be postponed a bit. Shee had to find a home and a job again. Lisa took a seat in front of her laptop, sitting cross-legged on the floor, between the sofa and the table. Her hands are dexterous typing on the laptop keyboard. Her eyes stared intently at the laptop screen.

One minute passed.

Her hands stopped typing, Lisa was silent. Laptop screen showing email pages, incoming messages. Seven incoming messages. Notifications from the platform where she applied for the contract a few days ago, all refused.

Lisa squeezed her finger, slightly annoyed. She recalled, she'd been calling real estate agents all night looking for vacant homes and there weren't any.

TING !

One incoming message from Navile. Lisa opened it.

"The owner of the new company is Dave William of WJ Group. I heard he is a great businessman. Looks like he intends to spread his wings in our field too. Just for your information Lisa." Lisa reread Navile's message, hoping she didn't read it wrong.

Lisa has worked with her on every book she has written, messages that are not about work are usually sent via private messages, not emails, as they are now.

Navile was a person who never lied, but this time Lisa doubted it a little.

Dave Williams? Whether it's just a feeling or a deliberate coincidence, out of all the businessmen should he be the one buying the company, exactly where Lisa works, she thought.

Lisa thought for a moment. Then remember something, look up someone's phone number. Call tone is connected.

"Hello." A man's voice answered cheerfully on the other end of the call. It was the voice of Max, the real estate agent of the apartment, Lisa accidentally called him, wanting to make sure of something.

"I wanted to ask, what's the name of the new apartment owner Dave William?" Lisa asked curiously.

"How do you know Miss Lisa? Is she your friend?" Max answered cheerfully on the other side.

Lisa hung up the call in annoyance. She had been thinking how her work and home wanted her to leave them at the same time because it was just bad luck.

She didn't think this had anything to do with Dave. But, look! He was the only source of trouble for Lisa, she thought.

Lisa opened the message Dave sent her yesterday. Hit the call sign in annoyance.

Three minutes passed, three calls went unanswered. The number is no longer active. Lisa sighed in exasperation. All right, he'll come to her. Lisa is determined to end this relationship forever. Uh? They don't have any real relationship. It's just a kind of relationship—nothing.

Lisa threw her phone in annoyance on the bed, cursing the crazy man in her heart.

....

Lisa stood awkwardly in front of the WJ Group company building. Employees in formal uniforms walked in and out of the main door. She looked up, there were many floors in this building, not knowing what floor Dave's office was exactly.

What if he out of the office? Lisa folded her arms in front of her chest, crossing her arms. Correcting the position of her small bag, it's okay if he's not in the office, she will look for it even at his house.

She had made up her mind, stepping in steadily.

Lisa continued to walk straight down the lobby, occasionally looking around. One or two female employees looked at her in surprise, like seeing an alien being in a different world from them.

They watched her from top to bottom, looking appraising. Lisa glared back at them. What's wrong with her appearance?

Her steps stopped in front of two large security guards. They watched Lisa from head to toe, clearly not a company employee. Their probing eyes made Lisa take a few steps back

"Miss." An employee from behind the reception desk called.

Lisa slightly run towards her. "I'm looking for Dave William." She answered firmly.

"Sorry Miss, Mr. Dave is busy right now. If you want to meet him you must make a reservation in advance." The receptionist answered politely. Lisa nodded slowly, pretending to understand.

As Lisa was still thinking about getting to Dave's office, her eyes caught the figure of Dave coming out of the elevator heading towards her. The receptionist was right, he looked busy.

He seemed to focus on listening to something that was being explained by the man beside him. A beautiful woman walked beside him, four other employees followed behind. Lisa was about to greet him, but he didn't take the slightest attention away from the document in his hand, as he continued walking past her.

Lisa jogged, stopping in front of him. Their shoes touched as Dave stopped walking.

Lisa raised her head arrogantly, her hands crossed. The woman beside Dave looked at her in surprise.

Dave lifted his head, glanced at Lisa, then continued reading the document in his hand. Uh? Lisa looked at him annoyed? Was Dave ignoring her?

"Dave, don't you feel the need to explain something to me?" Lisa stuttered a little.

"Miss, what business? Can you talk to me?" The woman beside Dave answered politely. Lisa glanced at her. Dave didn't walk anymore because Lisa was still standing cross-legged in front of Dave, the employee behind him followed. He was again busy listening to the explanation of the male employee beside him, ignoring Lisa. Lisa was getting annoyed.

"The great Mr. William, explain to me why you bought the company I worked for and made me stop working there? Then my apartment also why did you buy it and force me out and have no place to live huh?" Lisa glared at Dave, though of course Dave still didn't care.

Lisa's breath hitched, annoyed. It was the first time she'd spoken this much in two years, and now she regretted looking like such a chatty and grumpy woman.

Dave's hand movements stopped for a moment, he looked at Lisa. Smiling a little for a moment, then acting ignoring Lisa again. Lisa squeezed her finger.

"Yesterday you were still kissing and hugging me forcefully acting like it's so damn cute. Got me company with those damn reporters for a week. And wipe-" cup!

Lisa's eyes widened in complete shock. Dave silenced her with a kiss like he always did.

Lisa looked at him angrily. "You-" cup! Dave kissed her again, not letting her continue.

Dave handed the file in his hand to the male employee beside him. One hand pulled Lisa's waist against her body. Another hand gripped Lisa's chin, causing her to slightly tilt her head to look at him.

Lisa didn't move, or did she protest. Dave smiled, getting Lisa's approval. One thing Dave agreed with himself, if Lisa kept quiet, it was a sign of agreement.

The passing employees started to crowd when they saw their boss kissing a girl in public. It was no ordinary sight.

A Dave is known as a leader who always looks sharp, does not accept mistakes and always reminds his employees of work discipline. Never smile and very cold. There was only a gloomy air around him, with no sign of peace or happiness.

Lisa squeezed of Dave's black coat with her right hand. She was about to break the kiss, but Dave was now holding her head and locking her waist tightly.

She couldn't move.

Lisa could feel there were many pairs of eyes staring at them. Sounds of cellphone cameras are heard, taking pictures. Lisa groaned inwardly. Was Dave going to keep the news-hungry reporters following her again?

Dave broke the kiss from Lisa. His hands wrapped tightly around Lisa's waist. Even though Lisa tried to let her go, she was clearly less strong than Dave.

Dave smiled mischievously "If you don't want me to do more to you then obey, Lili." Dave whispered in Lisa's ear, deliberately blowing her ear.

Lisa chuckled, amused.

Lisa was silent, not rebellious. She couldn't allow herself to be the subject of spectacle any longer. Lisa noticed it, her heart pounding. Either because she was feeling threatened or because of the love she had hidden deep in her little heart.
