Chapter 1. Prologue

''Puah! I can't believe that son of a b*itch ran away with my money''

Meet Mari a 34 years old office working women who's boyfriend ran away with her money after she asked him to get married now she is drinking alone with the little money she got left in her wallet.

''We've been together for 5 years and this is what he did to me"

Mari drunk leaves the pub she approaches to her apartment building.

"Oh no i got to pee so hard better hurry to my apartment"

she rushes in the building but the elevator is under maintenance.

"Oh nooo"

she runs as fast as she can using stairs of apartment building but her apartment is on the 9th floor

"Ohh I can't hold it"

she sees a man on stairs getting off at the 4th floor she rushes toward him

"Excuse me can i please use your washroom"

the man looks at her and tells her

"Come in"

as he opens the door of his apartment she pushes him and rushes towards the apartment the man gets a little surprised but understands the situation

after a while...

"Ahh i am sorry for that its because my apartment is on the 9th floor and the elevator was broken so i had to rush"

"It's alright i understand"

Mari looks around the house there is isn't much furniture around

"Are you new here"

"Yes i just came in yesterday"

"Oh i forgot to tell my name my name is Mari"

the man looks at her

"Ahh.. if you don't mind can i ask your name"

"My name is Aleen"

since it was the first time Mari is meeting Aleen they didn't have much to talk about as Mari was about to leave Aleen said.

"Wait here i will bring some tea"

"Huh no you don't have to"

"Its alright just sit"

Mari looks around thinking that she has never been to any other guy's house except her jerk ex in her whole life as she was thinking about it she eyes start to tear up and gets depressed Aleen enters the room

"Are you alright"

"Huh why"

"I mean you are crying"

"Oh it's nothing it's just that my boyfriend ran away"

(oh god this is so awkward why am i telling him this)

Aleen serves her some tea and ask her

"How did you know where the washroom was"

"Ah sorry it's because all the apartments in this building are the same"

"Ok how long have you been here for"

"Ah sorry its been 4 years"

"Why are you apologizing every time"

"Ah sorry its just.."

Mari was trying her best to hold her tears back Aleen notices and ask her

"If it's ok with you would you like telling me what happened"

"Ah it's alright it's no big deal"

"You know if your having a hard time you should ask for help to someone and i'm willing to help you so if it's ok tell me and it's ok to cry it out and pull those hurtful feeling out of your chest"

Hearing this Mari started crying and tells Aleen about everything

"So your penny less now"

"Yes"

"And you shared your bank account with you ex boyfriend"

"Yes"

"And the reason why you are not calling the police is because they will call you a fool"

"Yes"

"Seriously.."

"...."

Mari looks at the clock

"Oh no It's past midnight i have to go now i have work tomorrow btw thanks i feel so refreshed now as for the money lets not think about it so much i can just make it back all over again"

"I like your positivity"

"Hehe btw Aleen how old are you"

"I am 25 why?"

"Nothing i just wanted to ask ok see you goodnight"

Aleen smiles

"Ok goodnight"

Mari enters her apartment and sees all her ex boyfriend belongings are gone

"Wow it's so spacious now that everything is gone but that jerk also took my TV with him"

she lays on her bed and falls asleep the next day she hears her door bell she opens her door

"What is this package"

she brings in her package and opens it

"Whattttt this is all the money that jerk stole from me"

As she takes out her cash she sees a note in it saying watch the news

she opens her mobile and looks at the news

"Huh! its my jerk ex he's been arrested for fraud"

Mari then leaves for her office as she exits the building she saw Aleen

"Hey Aleen did you watch the new my jerk ex got arrested"

"Really that was your ex"

"You don't need to play like you don't know i know it was you who did it"

Aleen looks at Mari because he is shocked to know that she is a little smart

"Why did you do that for me"

"I just wanted to help"

Mari laughs and pats Aleen head

"AWW thank you so much"

Aleen glares at Mari

"Oh sorry"

"It's alright be careful next time"

Mari smile and ask Aleen

"Is there anyway i could repay you back"

"No need"

"Aren't you going to ask that how i did it"

"Hmm well i want to but i won't force you to"

"That's good"

"AH! sorry I'm running late see you later"

As Mari leaves Aleen say's to himself

"What a interesting women"
