Chapter 7- Hospital Visit to the Mother

"You can't make my mother hostage. She has nothing to do with our settlement." She jerked her shoulder to where Derek's hand was.

Both Martin and he looked at each other and gave a sly laugh.

She looked bewildered.

"I thought you would be a smart girl, but you proved me wrong." Derek rubbed his thumb on her tender lip, making her shiver.

"Don't touch me again, otherwise…." She tried to save herself.

"Otherwise, what?" He quoted.

"You will call Alvin here. Huh." Derek squeezed her butt while gazing around her.

"Ohhh." Martin mocked her.

"And what will you say, when he would see us together?" Derek roamed his filthy hands over her bare arms.

"For God's sake, what do you want?" She shrieked and pushed him hard on the floor.

But he was the least bothered.

He quickly got back on his feet.

"It's simple, Love. You will work for us and your mother will stay alive. We have our eyes on you all the time and we are also aware that you have feelings for him. So ever you tried to leave or even think to leave our side, your mother will leave this world as well." Derek took his wineglass back and sipped.

"From this moment Martin will be with your mother all the time. Don't dare to escape. Else you are that smart at least, I believe. "He took another sip.

"Now you can go to the hospital and leave immediately for next. Martin will make sure you will not open your mouth much." Derek finished her talk and nodded to Martin to take over the charge from now on.

Martin fished out his pistol from the back and wiggled his eyebrow to Samantha to move further.

Her bones chilled out after seeing the pistol there.

She turned around with a red face and they both left the hotel room.

After a little ride, they both reached the hospital and Samantha talked with the nurse at the reception. Hopefully, it was less dramatic than the hotel room. Martin did nothing with her in the car.

Perhaps he was least bothered at the moment, or he might have some other plans.

"Hi Miss Lisa, this is Martin, my…. " She fumbled.

"My?" The nurse narrowed her eyes.

Samantha's eyes danced a little and then she thought something.

"My cousin." She glanced at Martin from side eyes.

"So, what's the matter?" The nurse asked in a hurry, she was dialling a number in annoyance.

"I have some business work and have to stay out of the city for a month at least. So he will take care of my mother in my absence." She said in a go and took a deep breath later.

The nurse smiled after a failed attempt to connect the call.

"OK, can you fill this form for me?" The nurse handed a paper clipped o a writing pad and a pen to her.

Samantha took it and scanned it.

"What is this?" She asked out of confusion.

The nurse who was already annoyed at the last-minute visit huffed slightly.

"It says that if anything happens to the patient in your absence then it will be the sole responsibility of the family member and the caretaker. The hospital would have no say in

that." The nurse explained normally.

"Sign here." She pointed at the place again. Her hurry was on the next level as if Samantha would take a few more seconds, she would have signed instead.

Samantha nodded slightly with a pounding heart. She stared at the page for some moments. Her mind was blasting with thoughts. At one hand her mind was planning to tell the truth to the nurse and reveal Martin's identity, but her hand was shaking.

She filled out the form and signed it. She tried to write something more, but Martin's eagle eyes were scanning the paper at every second.

He quickly took the writing pad from her hand and handed it to the nurse back who was busy packing her stuff as her shift ended already.

"We are done here, Miss Li…" He said flirtatious.

"Miss Lisa." The nurse took it while blushing.

Though he was a gangster his features were no less than any actor or supermodel.

"As of now the senior doctors are off duty so I will submit this form tomorrow and then you can stay with the patient." The nurse blushed more and informed them.

Martin understood her nature quite easily and passed a bundle of bills towards her. The nurse was baffled. Her big eyes were about to touch the ground.

She slightly took it and put it into her handbag.

"There was no need for it," she said while adjusting the silver back of her ear.

"I will start my stay from this very moment. Now it's up to you how you convenience your seniors." He roamed his finger on her cheek which ended on the cleavage point.

The nurse nodded.

Then both Martin and Samantha left the reception and headed towards her mother's care centre ward.

The room was quiet, painted white and a clueless body was lying on the hospital bed. The eyes were staring into the distance without movement.

"Mom," Samantha said softly caressing her mother's hair.

She looked at her with great effort. Her eyes were pale yellow but there was still a glint of shining.

"Samantha," She uttered slowly.

"See, I brought your favourite Salman crunch from your favourite restaurant." she showed her food baggage.

Seeing this a light smile floated on her face. Martin was looking at them with boredom. His main goal was to finish his task and take that girl to his bed. Until she finished the given work he couldn't do anything.

"I know you are hungry. This hospital food has never been of good taste." She said with excitement while placing a breakfast table on her bed.

"Come on, I help you out in sitting." She rushed to her mother when saw her struggling in sitting.

"Let's eat together. I am hungry as well." She placed a bite of Salmon fish in front of her mouth. Her mother took it in slowly.

They both were busy eating and talking, Samantha was talking only basically while her mother was nodding or giving answers by blinking her eyes.

Suddenly Her mother's eyes landed on the Man standing near the door busy on his mobile.

She asked Samantha showing her finger towards him. Samantha looked in that direction and gasped.

Till now she was trying her best not to show her fear to her mother. She acted all brave but her mother's question out of nowhere palpitated her heart.

The spoon dropped from her hand.

A soft hand slides on hers. She looked at her mother and tried to read her eyes.

Happiness was slowly overpowering them. Samantha baffled.

"Oh, no, Mother, don't think anything ridiculous. He is not of my type." She muttered under her breath.

"Oh, by the way, Mom. I have a news for you." She tried to change the topic.

Her mother looked at her with confusion.
