I can feel eve's dad eyes on my back as we walk in the basement. i will not cower because I have a feeling that is what he wants to see. It is a thing with wolves when it comes to the female's dad and the mate.
They want to see if you will protect their daughter now that she will be with you. I have a feeling it is more than that. We have family difference but that I sugar coating it.
I feel the pull again and I double down in pain. Celeste is not playing when it comes to what belongs to her. I now understand what she meant when she said now I belong to her. It is physically painful to be away from her.
Eve's dad looks at me but I pull myself together and we get to the basement.
"What you did was stupid but honorable as well" he tells me as he looks for a chair to sit on.
"I did what I had to do" I respond.
"You and me, we will never be okay, but for my daughter, we can try be civil."
I nod "I understand"
