Within These Walls

"Yes I am the guild leader, did that surprise you?" Kara asks as she raises her brow crossing her arms as well.

"Actually yes, you were guarding the gates that night and I don't find it natural for a leader to stay up guarding" I shrug as I say my comments about that night

Kara lightly laughs and chuckles, seemingly pleased with the comments I made "Its funny how a child like you even thought about that while they did not"

This makes me hop up a bit, she basically called me mature which is true! I lived alone for a long time, but that just begs the question "How do they normally behave?"

She lets out a tired sigh just thinking about it "Alduin often gets dragged down by your mother's persistence, and normally following Cana would be Drakon or Drake as most people call him."

Mom's persistence, that's a curious thought "Wait who's Dra-" I am cut off by the sudden grinding of the cave doors opening, the golden figure of a samurai with a hat covering his face appeared.

"Who the fuck left me back there?!" Yelled the golden samurai.

Kara had a smug grin in her face, covering her mouth as she lightly laughed "Oh boy I sure wonder who did that, and what you lost this time"

I stay silent as the two conversed, wondering what relationship the two had with each other, wait why am I thinking of this. . How queer.

"Oh I wonder what you lost" He repeated in a mocking manner and a surprisingly childish manner at that as well. "I lost my fucking Tsumugari! Do you have an idea how hard it is to get one?!

Kara lets out a sigh lightly facepalming, "Have you tried asking the nearby blacksmith?"

It seems I've lost my place in this conversation so I step back to leave hearing the yells of the man who I now imagine is the people she called Drake.

I walk around the path between a set of pillars when I notice a board with paper nailed through the cork board, "I can't read it" I whispered jumping up to try and read it.

In one of my jumps I were caught by arms carrying me up to read it, "What's my boy trying to read?" said a voice.

Looking up I soon realize it were Cana my mom "Oh hi! I was just curious about the places in the here"

"Looks like my boy is eager to stay" Cana playfully chuckles "Well I should show you around, I am your mom after all" She continues "That's the job board you were checking, it's where we get money"

"Ah Okay!" I turn to the left and I see a building different from the houses, it has a long set of windows "Whats that place?" I point to it.

"Its the kitchen, though it exists barely anybody uses it and just spend money outside" She says letting out a sigh "Do you know that once Kara made living food?"

I laugh at the thought "Thats hilarious" I of course don't believe it, that just sounds ridiculous. I've been done enough sight seeing "Mom I think thats all the places I want to visit for now"

"Okay then" She pauses for a second then continuing with a thought in her head "Seraph would you like to come along with me on a quest so that we can spend more time with each other?"

A quest with mom? "That sounds like it'll be fun!" The excitement built up and skyrocketed within me, an adventurous nature I gained there.

The sudden change of persona that seraph took came from the arrival of a person he could lean on, no longer did he have to take everything seriously with his parent around having fun could fit in his life again.

A sigh came as a man arrived it were the same person with mom from last night "Cana I thought you promised to never bring another person in this trip, and of all people a child?"
