Chapter 6, The news

The next morning I woke up. We didn't have class today because there was a dance coming up and the school was getting everything ready.

Who will ask me out to the dance? It's in 2 days and nobody asked me out to the dance yet.

Nobody would anyway,

I kept thinking about Andrew,

Who did he ask out to the dance?

Suddenly I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on my door.

I ran downstairs and opened the door. It was Andrew. But he was wearing a suit and had his hands behind his back.

'Andrew? What are you doing here?" I asked him,

'Can I come in?" He asks.

'Oh yeah sure come in' I said and walked to the sofa, we both sat down and started talking

'So why did you come over?" I asked him.

'Well I was wondering...' he said, pulling a rose behind him.

'If you would like to come to the dance with me?' he asked

I gasped.

'Of course!' I said, accepting the rose.

I was over the moon.

The guy I liked asked me out to the dance!

'I have another surprise,' he said looking at me.

'What is it?' I asked. I was over the moon, a second surprise?

'Dan said he found out what happened' Andrew said.

What did he mean?

'What do you mean Dan found out what happened?" I asked.

'He found out why Mia left you' He said

At first I didn't believe it, Dan found out in a day? I knew he was a good detective. But I didn't know he could solve a mystery in a day.

But Andrew kept telling me he did. So I started to believe him.

Suddenly we hear a knock at my door.

'I'll get it' I said and walked over to my door

I opened it to see Dan.

'Dan?' I said I was confused. Why was he here?

'Hey Olivia, Can I come in?' He asked.

'Oh right, sorry, sure, come in' I said and closed the door after him.

We went into the living room to see Andrew in the kitchen.

'Andrew?' Dan said.

Andrew turned around and his jaw dropped when he saw Dan. They both ran to each other and hugged,

'Dan what's up man!' Andrew exclaimed. I could tell he was excited.

Suddenly Dans happy face faded away

'I came here to tell you guys about Mia and your mom Olivia..' Dan said in a serious tone

My mom? Mia?

We all went to the living room and took a seat, Andrew and I were on one side while Dan was on the other side.
