chapter 5 ~Wolf's mind

Once I walked in to the alpha House to see what n

eeds to be changed. Once I finish looking around the front room I go upstairs to the office. Once I enter the office I see something on the desk. I pick it up it's a box with my name on it. I open the box and find pictures of me and Hope in it. There was also a letter addressed to me that reads.

My dearest Alex

I did everything I did for the love of my mate Wich I didn't get because he was always cheating on me. I never hated you or your sister. It wasn't my plan to make you and your sister feel unwanted because you guys truly were. I always wanted a daughter I just got lucky to have to. It was hard for me to sit back and watch what your father did. I loved your brother Ace and you and even though I never got to know her I loved hope. I hope one day you can forgive me.

I was so occupied reading the letter I didn't notice that one of the warriors Chris walk into the office. Alpha. He greeted I turn around startled. Yes. I say. there was a meeting that the previous alpha had called earlier today for later today. Do you want me to cancel it. Chris says. What is this meeting about? I asked.

It was something about a prisoner. Apparently she was a little past the border. Chris says. So the meeting was to determine what to do with her? I asked. Yes it was her trial do you want to continue with it. Chris says. Yes but I want to move this trial up sooner I've got a lot of work I have to do around here. I tell him. I'll get right on it alpha. Chris says.

I dismiss him and he goes out the door to do as I ordered. I look around my office looking for the secret entrance to the secret room connected to the office. I only know about it cuz I accidentally found it once when I was little. I find the book and pull it out. The secret door opens to the room. I turn on the lights and see the room is more like a hallway there's many doors and at the end of the hallway a lone shelf. I walked the shelf to find the one thing I was looking for.

I get to the shelf I see a family picture. The picture has my father, my mother, Isaac, Ace and finally me. Back thenit was so important to my dad that the pack didn't know what he did to us behind the alpha House door. He would make us pretend to be a perfect family. He would make Isaac act like a protective big brother.

There was a time were Isaac was a protective older brother. Isaac is 3 years older than me meaning he's one year older than Ace. When me and Ace were little before all the problems started Isaac loved us before my dad started feeling his head with nonsense about us being worthless.

I miss those days. Back then I always looked up to him. But little girl doesn't look up to their big brother. I wish things were different maybe Isaac would still care about me and Ace and maybe he would even be chasing hope around the backyard. I know things can't change I know this isn't some dream this is reality.

The shelf below the family picture is a box. The box I was looking for. At the box contained a lot of things but the one thing that I want from the box is a locket. He took the locket away from me after Ace left. It contained a picture of me, Ace and Isaac when we were littler. The locker had great meaning to me the picture was of the last time Isaac ever smiled at me without wanting something or just planning something evil.

I put the locket around my neck and grab the alpha ring from the box. Every alpha when their parents retire from being alpha and Luna the news like it's a ring it's called an alpha ring. It's usually of a wolf or a moon with your name engraved inside the ring. I look inside the rain just find Isaac's name in it. One of the rules of being alpha is that you can't wear another alpha's ring. If your parents didn't make you a ring. Then one will be made for you.

If we're going to have one trial I want to move two more up. I mind link Chris. He doesn't take long to respond. Is it your father and brothers trial? Chris asks. Yes I want to have theirs first. I say. Then all of a suddenly I see something in the box. I see a weird plant that I recognize as Wolf's mind. Wolf's mind is a type of plant that helps mind control wolves but it could also be used on werewolves.

All of a sudden an idea pops in my head of why Isaac just turned all of a sudden. Chris I want the pack doctor to check Isaac out. I just found something that might explain his behavior. I mind link Chris. This would explain his actions Wolf's mind is hard to recognize in a werewolf there's no symptoms or signs. My dad had a way of getting traders or rogues to tell him everything they knew. Now I know how he used Wolf's mind.

Chris didn't respond so I think he was busy but I know he's got the message because it went through. I walk out from the secret room and close it. I practically run to the pack doctor. The only way to tell if a werewolf was affected by Wolf's mind is to draw blood. It turns werewolf blood green But not a yellow green a dark Christmas green.

I get there I see Chris with Isaac. Isaac looks at me with disgust and hatred but I just srugg it off and walk into the room. As I walk into the room I see doctor Page she's the pack doctor. She bows her head in respect. What do you need alpha? She asks. I need you to draw some blood from my brother I found something very sketchy and my Father's office. I say she not your head.

What am I looking for alpha? She asks. Wolf's mind I found some in my dad's office. I tell her. She gets a look of horror on her face. Paige was affected by Wolf's mind before she came the pack doctor. I personally think she became the pack doctor to help werewolves that has been affected by Wolf's mind. You don't think your father used it on your brother do you? Page asks. I just got my head.

Just then Chris came in with Isaac and strapped him down to the hospital bed. Paige gets straight to work and draws blood from Isaac. Isaac put up quite a fight on getting the blood. But we eventually got it. Paige then puts the blood in a container for it to sit for about 30 seconds to see if it turns green. After the 30 seconds are up we see the Christmassy green blood. Meaning my brother was affected by Wolf's mind

Paige then pulls out of syringe and the cure bottle from the fridge. She gets the cure in the syringe. And injects it into my brother's arm. He starts to seize and scream. He eventually comes down but he still shaking. The cure is slowly working. Isaac then falls asleep and from what I know about Wolf's mind he'll be out for an hour before he's completely cured. I just hope he doesn't have any problems adjusting back to reality

Sometimes someone that's been injected with wolves mind and manipulated so many times have long-term effects when they're cured they just don't just back to reality. You're probably thinking but doesn't it last for a while why would you have to keep injecting it's in them. Well Wolf's mind wears off after a year or two yes the wolf won't remember that it happened until they're cured but it still wears off. Do you have to keep injecting them with it.

All I can do is wait and hope my brother is one of the people that's been ejected multiple times with Wolf's mind that can adjust to reality.
