A new beginning

In a modern time where different magical creatures co-exist with humans all living peacefully

A boy named Kaito about the age of 14 goes to Shibuya known to have numerous magical creatures with his mother

As he passed by the streets he saw various creatures everywhere they passed so he took permission from his mom to wander off

He saw a vampire boy sneaking around so he decided to follow it, as soon as the vampire noticed him it ran quicker than anything he had ever seen

"Wait up, can I just talk to you for a moment" he said chasing the vampire to the forest

The vampire ignored Kaito and ran faster jumping over obstacles in his way causing Kaito to stumble on a root and fall which made the vampire halt

Then Kaito had a much clearer view of the vampire seeing he had short black hair with red eyes, while the vampire stood there Kaito quickly tackled the vampire on the ground

"Caught you," he said holding the boy tight

"W-why.... are you attacking me" he whispered shyly as he turned away

I tilted my head sideways at the unexpected behavior

"Why were you running away" I said not letting go of him

"Y-you s-startled me," he said in a shy tone

Kaito then stood up and released the boy from his grip

"Alright then I'm Kaito and I want to be the greatest monster tamer" he declared out loud making the boy frown a little

"H-how can you tame a monster... It's like saying they... are animals" he whispered

"I'm not saying I'm taking away their freedom, I'll make sure they are happy cause seeing them smile warms my heart" he smiled warmly as he was talking

"So can I keep you," he said rubbing his hands and moving closer to the vampire

The vampire then backed up nervously but it didn't have any home to live in so it didn't have any choice and agreed to make Kaito jump up in joy

"What's your name" he said excitedly

"K-Kage," he said nervously

After the introduction, Kaito and Kage went back home and he introduced him to his mother so they decided that the next day they would go to monster-taming school tomorrow

While Kaito was overly excited that they were going to school together Kage was the opposite

"Cheer up I'm sure there will be a lot of fun adventures awaiting us tomorrow and besides you got me around" he smiled reassuringly easing Kage
