Ch. 20 Level Up

Ren had put his all into his physical training the day after his battle. He only had 3 months until he was going to be isolated in the sect. He wanted to unlock the shop for his system but needed his cultivation to reach the Spirit stage or his body refinement to reach stage 2.

He did weight training and endurance exercises like a madman. Like a demon had possessed him he trained until fainting multiple times over the course of 2 days.

Feeling the edge of stage 2 he worked until his muscles tore and skin was glowing red from over exertion.

Finally he reached his goal.

Pain coursed through his body, his bones became stronger, skin tougher and grew a little bit taller.

Usually, when someone advances their body expels waste but his body was already reforged when he sacrificed his god level cultivation.

Ren took out 20 spirit stones and laid them out before himself. He began to absorb them at a frightening rate. 10 minutes went by and all the stones crumbled into dust.

He had reached the 7th tier of Qi refinement

He took out the remaining 80 and cultivated like a madman. Hastily absorbing the Qi until 8th tier, 9th tier…

Ren had reached the 1st tier of Spirit stage. His senses grew sharper, Qi grew much denser and his cultivation technique flowed through his meridians and dantian much more smoothly.

[Not immediately, in the late levels of the technique spatial travel is possible. As of right now you're capable of the 1st and 2nd levels. New random skill available in the shop]

Ren looked the technique over and noticed it was added to the family library. He notified Meng to start training in it, once she grasped the first level they would cultivate nonstop to allow her to catch up.

2 weeks had passed. Ren was at the 3nd tier of Spirit stage, He spent the rest of his points on spirit stones. This allowed him to greedily absorb qi. His movement technique had reached the second level. He could instantaneously move anywhere within 50m. The technique relied more on bodily strength than qi usage, it allowed him to use it almost non stop. His sword skill had just reached the second stage but he was unable to use it proficiently at the moment.

Ren had done all that in just 3 days. The rest of the time was helping Meng'er to catch up to him. He explained the movements technique in detail to her. She wasn't a freak like he was and could at most use it 10 times otherwise her body wouldn't be able to keep up. Her cultivation was the same as his now and both their combat prowess was improved majorly. For Ren, nothing below the Heaven stage could touch him. Meng however was slightly weaker as she didn't have any sword skills even though she had a sword seed her sword force was stagnant and did not show signs of improvement. She could at most defeat mid Sky realm martial artists. He thought of going to the sect's skills building but then he remembered that they were internal force users and not cultivators.

His quests changed drastically after his breakthroughs. They were no longer about meditation nor fighting strong beasts.

Weekly: Kill evil cultivators (0/10) reward: Skill book (every 10 killed after reward you with 100 shop points)

Special: Kill the sect leader of the Yin Soul sect(0/1) Reward:********]

He wanted to go out and slay some cultivators to get the skill book. Nothing the system gave out was trash.

Using the two small spins had acquired over the weeks both were teleport talismans, he gave 1 to Meng'er. They both had 2 life saving talismans that could instantly get them out of trouble if needed.

Early the next day Ren and Meng exited the sect. It was time to hunt.
