A shot of Modafinil and after some long drive, they finally arrived at home. Del was sitting in front of the house with his best friend during sad times, alcohol. The bottle of alcohol was accompanying him while he was sitting down on the terrace of the house. Cassandra was taking care of Anna upstairs.
"Hey, dude, why are you so sad?" Cole asked.
"I'll kill them, I'll kill them all," Del rumbled.
"Well, I agree with you, but Del, killing them won't satisfy your desire, don't you think?" Cole said.
"Shut up, I don't want to hear a lecture about getting revenge will only make you feel empty. I don't have time for listening to that shit," Del said.
"Damn, I'm not going to give you a lecture, relax, I'm here to help you," Cole added.
Del sighed, he then gazed toward the night sky, "Cole, you know, have you ever felt this powerless before. You want to do something but you really can't do anything. I meant, I am thinking of doing a series of destruction in Elbanian to what they had done, but thinking about it, where am I supposed to be getting the money to do it? Doing that will also compromise the safety of you all. God, this is a headache."
"Yeah, it means that you have to take it one step at a time," Cole said.
"One step, huh?" Del asked.
"Yeah, one step, if you want to ruin Elbanian, ruin their economy first, then their morale, then their people, after that, you can go straight to the heart," Cole said.
"Damn, you're a genius, the question is, how?" Del asked.
"For now, you can start by getting enough funds. At the very least , you can defend yourself in case Elbanian throws everything at you. I meant, if this situation is as dire as I expected, then you don't have much time in Elbanian. It's not going to be long until everyone in Elbanian wants your head," Cole explained.
"Want my head? How so? Well, I have to admit that I have killed too many SSU personnel in this short period of time, there's that, but logically speaking, if I were hunted down, why am I not even killed at this point?" Del asked.
"I… have no clue, but you really didn't leave any witnesses as far as I can tell," Cole said.
"Well, if we can make Elbanian burn, I will be happy to do anything that it takes. However, we're going to need some serious hardware, not some machine gun and a car. We need ballistic missiles, jets, bombs, tanks, nukes, and anything that will kill," Del said.
"I don't know what you're talking about, but sure, I think I will help," Cole said.
Del sighed, "Still, I wonder what Cassandra was doing upstairs with Anna. She said that she needed to do a debridement on her, but I'm not really sure what she meant by that," Del said.
"Well, if she has finished taking care of your sister, she will give her diagnose, right now, all you can do is to pray for the best," Cole said.
"Yeah, I agree with that," Del said.
After some shots later and some time later. Cassandra finally came to the terrace dressed in something that could only be described as her sterile gown. Blood was still in her gloves and she looked really exhausted.
"How did it go?" Del asked.
"For the most part, it's successful, but too bad for her, she would be deemed to wear bandage for the rest of her life. I think I need to consult with the dermatologist later in Ilbistirum, but I don't think her skin can heal, no matter how much effort I put into fixing her skin," Cassandra said.
"What happened to be honest? I don't even know," Del said.
"Well, I can say that the whole fire burn through the superficial part of the skin very quickly since I noticed that most of the dead part that I remove is coming the deeper part of the skin. However, I'm also glad that your sister is smart enough to actually use her own healing spell to regenerate her deeper part of the skin so the burn doesn't go too deep although now I have to peel it all off since it's bad for healing," Cassandra said.
"Say what? Dude, I don't understand medical terms," Del said.
"To put it simply, your sister is smart enough that she managed to survive that large burn, but it was also too late that her skin couldn't be saved," Cassandra said.
"I see, so she has to wear bandage even though she has stabilized, right?" Del said.
"And Del, I also have to take half of your sister's magical energy reservoir for making a layer of antimicrobial field on top of her skin as a replacement for her skin," Cassandra said.
"Sure, I think that's necessary too," Del said.
"Anyway, if your sister is way grumpier than usual, that's not your fault, alright? Please keep in mind that she is under constant pain, she will get used to it," Cassandra said.
"Sure, I understand," Del said.
"You can come upstairs if you want to, I think your sister should have woken up at this point," Cassandra said.
"Ah, I see, well, we have a lot to talk about to be entirely honest," Del stood up from the terrace and left the bottle of alcohol there, "The rest is for you, happy drinking," Del entered the house.
Del headed upstairs. He had a lot to talk with his sister and he really couldn't wait. There should be a shitton of intelligence coming from his sister and he didn't even have to do any interrogation first before getting the information itself.
Del entered the room and he saw his sister was laying down in the bed. There was a steel bucket located next to the door. Looking at it, the bucket was filled with some dead skins and used bandages. Her sister's body was all wrapped in bandage.
"Hey, how're you doing, sis?" Del asked.
"It's painful all around, but well, I'm alive," Anna said.
"Yeah, that's all that matters," Del said.
"Still, I'm quite surprised that you're alive. Everyone said that you were dead, I'm glad that they're wrong. Anyway, I'm also surprised that you have guns in this world, where did you get that?" Anna asked.
"Well, to be honest, I have some sort of special ability to get modern weaponry, it might be the reason why my stats are so bad, it's just that I kill in an entirely different way," Del said.
"Well, yeah, it makes sense, I don't think you're that weak anyway," Anna said.
"I can't say that I'm weak, but I'm pretty much mediocre in terms of strength in this world, probably right above average. I'm still able to kill every single SSU personnel that was guarding you, that should count for something," Del said.
"Well, yeah, that's impressive, even that SOB Eric had a hard time against the petty SSU at his first training, still, even a holy sword from the kingdom's personal armory didn't make a dent on his skin," Anna explained.
"Holy sword? What kind of contraption is that?" Del asked.
"Well, the court magician told us about it. It was a sword forged from the heart of the demonic king and the strongest steel in the world. The last hero used it to slain the demon lord," Anna said.
"I'm not going to buy that bullshit, but that's probably a good sword. You know, the last time Elbanian summoned heroes, it didn't end too well. They do a mutiny and they got put down immediately by the bounty hunters," Del explained.
"I never heard that," Anna said.
"It's expected. You're the mascot of their kingdom, it's really necessary to keep you docile to the king, but it's really weird that they decide to execute you, what was the reason?" Del asked.
"I don't know, they said that I killed Harry. Truth is, Harry died because of complications that I can't treat, but well, past is past to be honest, I'm not going to cry over spilled milk," Anna said.
"Yeah, I know that. Still, when can you start to move again, according to Cassandra?" Del asked.
"Who was that doctor? Cassandra, right? She said that I can participate with you in a week, still, is it safe?" Anna asked.
"Well, considering that I didn't recognize you at first, I don't think anyone would be the wiser, but still, I have to prepare a contingency plan. If they found out that you're alive, they're going to find both me and you. We need to prepare for that," Del said.
"Yeah, I agree. With that snake Eric wants both of us dead, I can say that the Elbanian will come after us, hard," Anna said.
"As long as we're together, we can go against the world," Del said.
