Chapter 10

Logan at his home was getting for tonight's dinner but only one thing was going through his mind.

Logan thought,' After tonight I and Alex will go out with each other, not as friends but as a couple.'

Olivia was seeing the stupid smile on Logan's face and just shook her head while thinking,' How can a genius like him with that high IQ can become like this.'

Logan asked Olivia," Am I looking good and are these gifts good."

Olivia smiled and said," Yeah you are looking the best in the world but these gifts might be an issue."

Logan frowned and asked," What happened? last time I checked everything should be good right."

Olivia nodded and said," These flowers and chocolate are good if you give her these individually but while you're going to their family dinner, you should bring this."

Olivia handed him a long red box and Logan asked in confusion," This is a box of your favourite Red Wine?"

Olivia nodded and said," Yes and this is the best gift for her family."

Logan nodded and took the bottle from Olivia, he left his home in a 2009 Lotus Elise, As Alfred had already arranged a driving license for him so Logan drove the car himself.

At Dunphy's House

Alex told Claire about Logan and Claire asked with surprise," Wow, today is a very surprising day. My mother suddenly came and tells me that she wants all of us to forget the 'Incident' and now my 11-year daughter tells me that she has confessed to one of the richest people in the world and now he will come to the most stupid gathering of our family as her boyfriend. I think this day cannot be more normal."

Alex said to Claire," But Dylan is also coming and I know Logan will not judge anyone by just meeting them once, actually he won't even care."

Claire asked while trying to calm herself," Don't think you should have known him better before confessing, what if he is some abuse or the workaholic person who is just getting in a relationship with you because he wants to hide this from the world?"

Alex looked at her for a moment and said," Mom, I think you should stop reading those crime novels because you're way overreacting to this situation."

Claire nodded in hurry but didn't say anything and Alex also left the kitchen in silence.

In the evening

Everyone was present at Dunphy's house except Jay and Gloria. suddenly the doorbell rang and Alex stand up and adjusted her hair before opening the door because she was hoping to see someone she wants to see more than anything now.

When she opened the door and found Logan standing at the door with a bright smile on his face and a paper bag in his hand.

Alex smiled brightly and said," Come in, I was waiting for you."

Logan nodded and entered the house. He has come to Alex's home many times but today he felt that the air was a little different.

Logan comes into the living room and saw everyone looking at him curiously and Claire introduced him to everyone.

Claire said," Everyone this is Logan Alex's…boyfriend and they have met recently."

Logan smiled and greeted everyone and De De asked him," Aren't you. Logan Wilson, I watched your bike launch event today."

Logan smiled and thanked her Cameron asked," So where and when did you meet Alex?"

Logan said," Oh, we are classmates for a year and our teacher gave both of us a project to complete together this summer and that's when we developed feelings for each other."

Cameron smiled teasingly and said," You are very romantic huh! Alex is very lucky."

Logan shook his head and said," I am lucky to have her in my life because where can someone so many good people like all of you."

Everyone smiled and Logan gave the wine bottle to Phil and sit next to Alex, Alex asked in a low voice," so from tonight are we."

Logan nodded and said," Yes, we are a couple from tonight and I will make sure you won't regret it."

Alex nodded and said," yeah and I also promise to be your support whenever you need it." 

Logan smiled and soon the doorbell rang again and Jay and Gloria arrived with manny and Dylan were also behind them.

Hailey quickly pulled Dylan to the side and Gloria asked Mitchell," What is she doing here?"

Mitchell explained and said, "Gloria, Mom is going to Canada and won't come back forever so she just wanted to apologise to the whole family for 'Incident' and wants everyone together again."

Gloria nodded and her anger was calming De de also spoke," Yeah Gloria, I regret what I did back then and I just wanted to say sorry for what I did."

Gloria also said," It's okay, I also think we should forgat all the previous resentments."

Logan was watching all of this with amusement because now was the part when De de will suddenly attack Gloria but to his surprise, nothing happened De de even had a drink with Gloria.

Logan was surprised but shrugged his shoulders and thought of this like a butterfly effect but what he didn't think would happen was De de picked up a glass of wine with a smile and threw it at Gloria.

Gloria dodge the glass but unexpectedly that glass of wine fell on Logan and left a deep red mark on his clothes. Everyone in the room was shocked and there was silence in the living room for a second.

De De came forward and apologized," I am sorry Logan I was just not in my right mind."

she tried to reach out at Logan's shirt but the latter just stopped her and said," it's okay, Alex can you please show me the washroom."

Alex nodded and pulled Logan's hand and both of them left the living room. Claire asked De de," Mom, what was that? Why did you have to do it every time you see Gloria?"

De de said with the guilty," I am sorry Claire, I was upset that Jay moved on so easily and get married to such a beautiful and intelligent young woman while I am still alone."

Claire glared at Mitchell and Mitchell didn't know what to say anymore. Claire asked Mitchell," What should we do now?"

Mitchell said," I…I don't know maybe Alex will be able to calm him down."

Claire just closed her eyes and said," I hope so."

With Alex and Logan

Alex asked Logan," Are you upset?"

Logan said," It's not like this suit was important it just we won't be able to spend more time together on our first day of being a couple."

Alex nodded and Logan said with a sigh," I should go back now and we will meet tomorrow, I will pick you up from your Cello class."

Alex nodded and Logan left Dunphy's house without saying goodbye to anyone Alex come back to the living room and Claire asked," Was he mad about something?"

Alex shook her head and went back to her room and everyone looked at her in silence.
