RAGE MODE

John looked around trying to find a way to move when he noticed something. 

All the trees were close together with the thick branches crossing each other at times. 

[Damage Dealt: Moonfire Tick 15 damage to Vulred] 

"COME OUT HERE YOU BRAT" Vulred screamed.

"LIGHTNING BOLT" 

The tree shook slightly from the spell attack. 

(My Moonfire only ticks twice after its initial damage so I need to reapply it, why does he not come get me though?) 

John took another peek around the tree quickly before pulling his head back again. 

"Lightning Bolt" 

[Player Dodged] 

[Damage Taken: 0 by Vulred] 

(He is still in the magic circle, the sane Vulred did say he was trying to corrupt it so maybe he needs to stay in there.) 

(First let's get Moonfire up again then we can see about the trees.) 

John once again stuck his head out and as he saw Vulred's mouth begin to move he pulled back. 

"Lightning Bolt"

[Damage Taken: 0 by Vulred] 

As soon as the lightning bolt hit the tree John stuck his head and arm back out and spoke. 

"Moonfire" before hiding behind the tree again. 

"Moonfire." 

[Damage Dealt: 18 to Vulred]

Luckily the moonfire spell fell from the sky like it was an attack from the moon almost instantaneously so it was harder to dodge than a lightning bolt that fired from the casters hand straight at the target. 

"Gah damn brat." Vulred cursed again. 

John looked up and started to climb the tree he was in behind slowly with Vulred occasionally sending lightning bolts against the tree.

It only took John a few seconds to reach the top of the tree just as the second moonfire spell ticked.

At the top of the tree Vulred could not see John as he was not looking up and also the foliage offered good cover from view. 

(I hope this idea works) John thought. 

(Moonfire) 

[Unable to Silent Cast spell, you do not have the Silent Casting Passive.] 

(Well shit, but that's a passive to look into for the future) 

"Moonfire." John whispered in his quietest voice.

"GAH DAMN HUMAN SCUM WHERE DID YOU ATTACK ME FROM?" Vulred screamed as his hands began to charge with dark power. 

John hid in the foliage and clung to the tree as two seconds later. 

"DARKNESS BLAST"

The whole tree shook as the Darkness Blast hit the tree hard and John just clung on. 

"COME OUT BASTARD SO I CAN KILL YOU AND DRINK YOUR BLOOD." 

(Yeah, like that will happen.) John thought as he began to move very slowly along a thick tree branch covered in foliage to the next tree.

"DAMN HUMAN SCUM HOW DARE YOU DAMAGE ME SO MUCH TAKE THIS." Vulred screamed as his whole body started to swirl with dark power. 

(Oh, shit I don't like the looks of that, why did he suddenly start gathering so much power?) 

"Moonefire" John whispered as he crawled further away from Vulred as the later gathered power

By the time John had crawled over one tree and onto the next, ten seconds had passed and he was hidden behind its trunk up in the foliage when Vulred screamed. 

"DARKNESS EXPLOSION" 

A sphere of dark energy expanded from Vulred shooting in all directions and small twigs or leaves it touched vanished without a trace. 

As it approached John's tree it started to fizzle out and just touched John's hands before it disappeared.

(HOLY SHIT! That was only fifty percent damage) John thought as he began to sweat a little.

"AH HA FOUND YOU BASTARD." Vulred shouted as he looked over in John's direction. 

"Shit how?" John thought out loud. 

"Stupid brat, I detected you when my magic just now damaged you." 

"Moonfire" 

"Lightning Bolt" 

"Lightning Bolt"

Vulred fired off two lightning bolts at once and afraid more where coming John dropped down from the tree and hid behind the trunk. 

John quickly chugged down another health potion.

(God how much health does this guy have even when it's halved) 

"DARKNESS BLAST" 

The tree shook from the attack and John took a moment to look out from behind the tree and noticed that Vulred was not looking so good. 

Blood was coming from the corners of his mouth; he was breathing heavily, and his vision seems blurry. 

"Damn... bastard." Vulred said between deep breaths as he started to gather darkness in his hands again.

"Moonfire"

John took the chance to cast Moonfire again since the second tick had just hit and the boss was still channeling to cast Darkness Blast again before hiding back behind the tree. 

"Darkness Blast" 

Bang the tree shook again. 

(This really is just a spell casting fight, I'm lucky he can't leave the magic circle though.)

(So now what since the same trick won't work twice, maybe I should crawl under the bushes to get to a new hiding spot?) 

John was trying to come up with a new idea when his second Moonfire tick hit and shit really hit the fan.

"AHHHH FUCKING BASTARD I WILL KILL YOU." 

[*NOTICE* Elite Boss HP has dropped to 10% or lower and has entered RAGE MODE] 

[RAGE MODE: Boss attack power and casting speed double, however, End Stat halves] 

(Ah crap now I can't take my time and run I have to finish this now) John thought as he looked around the tree as Vulred who was building power for another Darkness Explosion. 

"I only have 5 seconds shit." John said as he got up and ran at Vulred pulling out his great sword while casting Moonfire.

Since Vulred could not move John just went with the easy choice and stabbed his great sword straight at his heart.

"Noooooo bastard human scum, I will have my revenge." The crazy Vulred screamed as John's blade pierced the elf's heart. 

After which the elf coughed up a black substance that disappeared before hitting the floor. 

"Thank you, my friend." The elf said in his own voice with gratitude as the light faded from his eye. 

As it did the magic circle activated and the next thing John knew he appeared elsewhere but before he could do anything he was hit with notifications and heard a voice. 

"DO IT NOW!" 

John's vision turned blurry and the last thing he heard before falling unconscious was a different voice saying. 

"A human we should have known."

Not far from where John had appeared a large bear opened its eyes before looking in the direction of John and spoke. 

"Interesting." 

Strangely this bear was not corporeal but almost like it was made of stars.

As soon as John fell unconscious a world announcement went off for every player in Genesis. 

[GENESIS WORLD ANNOUNCEMENT] 

[The evil corruption that was spreading in the Yesta Forest has been stopped and the forest has been saved.] 

[But this is not the end, it is very likely that those who attempted this corruption will try again.]

"Vulred is dead, what do we do with the human who was teleported with him?" 

"We kill him of course, not only has a human entered the Enclave, but he killed Vulred, you saw the blade he stabbed through his heart." 

"This makes no sense, why would the teleportation circle send a human here? And a human who killed a Druid." 

"We won't know till we speak with him, assemble the council and bring the human before us when he awakens."

As John came to the first thing, he saw was all the notifications that filled his vision

[Teleportation in Progress]
