My new house

"Why the hell are you frustrating me? Why can't you do as I wish and please me? Do you want me to ...."

"Mom, you are not going to die and please don't use that as a blackmail 'cause it's not going to work on me." Alex cut his mom off before she could complete her statement and walked further away from them.

"Can you see that? Can you see how he talks back at me and he just walked out on me? I need to tell my husband that this son of his is becoming something else." Mrs. Hampton was about to walk away but stopped and turned to Mira. "I apologize to you on behalf of my son. I know he is hot-tempered but please don't take his words to heart."

"No Mom, you don't have to apologize for anything. I understand him, probably he is in a bad mood so I understand." Mira said.

"Thank you, dear." Mrs. Hampton said. Come now! The lunch is ready.

"No Mom. I won't be able to make it too much cause I have a meeting with some investors. You know my perfumes and candles, maybe some other times."

"Oh! Yeah, you are right. Alright then, maybe some other time but then I won't listen to any excuses you have."

"Ok, mom. Bye. Biggie see you some other time." Mira said and walked out

"Bye."

"Should I give you a special invitation before you come inside or do you want to stand here and watch out for the people coming and going in." Mrs. Hampton scolded Biggie.

"No no, Mom. I will come in. I was just waiting for you so we can both go in together."

"OK. Now go in." Mrs Hampton said pointing her way.

"OK OK am going," Biggie said and went inside.

Lunch was served but Alex didn't join them after several calling and knocking.

THREE HOURS LATER

Alex came down wearing a Hawaiian shirt with white jeans.

"Biggie am off to my new house."

"OK. I'll meet you there." Biggie said and his face suddenly turned pale and looked at Alex again before standing up to where Alex was standing. "You mean you are going to that haunted house?"

"Yes, and I want you to follow me now."

"Who? Me? No no. I won't follow you there. Mom... Mom." Biggie called out but his mouth was instantly covered and dragged out of the house by Alex.

"Get into the car," I said to him.

"No, I won't. You know what? I no longer want to be your manager, to hell with been a manager. Do you want me to die young? I just started enjoying my new life and you want me to die even before having children? No no no." Biggie said shivering.

"Coward." Alex simply said and entered the car and drove off leaving Biggie speechless. I think I should tell Mom about it or else my ear will be on fire from her lectures but I should call the agent first. Biggie brought out his phone from his back pocket and dialed the agent's number. "Hello... You fool, why did you sell the house to him? I thought we had an agreement?" Biggie said to the agent.

"Mister Alex was willing to pay me two million for the house so I had to sell it to him instantly and he has asked one of his men to collect the paper which I have given the man. I had to sell it 'cause I had nothing to lose and besides you paid me a little amount of money." The agent said from the other end.

"You greedy fool," Biggie said and disconnected the call.

"Mom... Mom." Biggie called out and Mrs Hampton came rushing out.

"What's wrong Biggie."

"Mom, your son has gone to commit suicide. He wants to kill himself. I mean he has gone to that haunted house." Biggie said and sat on the floor.

"What!" Mrs. Hampton exclaimed. And why didn't you go with him? You should have gonewith him.

"What?" I would never go with him. But I warned him, I warned him not to go or he might die. I even told him to consider his old Mom but he did listen to me.

Mrs Hampton frowned her face and walked over to where Biggie was sitting and slapped him.

"Oh! Mom, what have I done to deserve this slap? It's Alex who should have gotten slapped not me." Biggie said rubbing his cheek.

"I am still young and sexy, am not old. And as for Alex, he will also get punished when he comes back."

"When he comes back? What if he doesn't come back?" Biggie asked in concern and adjusted himself so as not to be slapped again.

"What! Don't be ridiculous Biggie. Alex will come back. He is my strong son so don't you worry." Mrs. Hampton said and went back to what she was doing.

"Alex can't just go like that. If he comes back then he will ridicule me. I know what to do." Biggie said and brought his phone and dialed a number. "Thank Goodness you pick up on time. I just called to tell you that Alex has gone to meet another woman in that haunted house. He knew that no one would come looking for him in that house most especially you so he went there. I am not even with him, at home cause he asked me not to come along."

"What! Alex with another woman? But Alex is hardly seen with a lady except me and his female business partners." The person said from the other end.

"OK. If you don't believe me then forget it. Bye."

"No wait. I will go there and I swear if I see any lady with him, I fear I might commit a murder." The person from the other end said.

"No no. Please don't kill me cause Alex will kill me. Just go there and frustrate him and that lady."

"OK, I will go there now." The person said and hang up.
