Wrath

While moving the pillars in the ice dome, Dante made sure to remove the spikes pinned to the wall and seal off the domes exit in the process.

Thud!

Upon hearing this loud thud sound, Serena's attention was taken back to Dante who was currently laying on the floor. Walking to him, she squatted down before helping him to remove the spikes in his body. After she was done doing this, he immediately stopped bleeding before his healing skill came into action. Within two seconds he had fully healed from his injuries.

"You are getting hurt a lot you know", Serena told Dante.

"I know I know but it's not as if the Fracture over there gave me much of an option", Dante responded before both of them looked at the High Fracture which was restrained.

"Let's finish it off now", Dante said picking him sword up.

As Dante approached the High Fracture, Serena looked at the beast feeling relief that it was all over. Though that quickly changed when she felt immerse pressure coming the creature in front of her. She quickly ran to Dante afterwards before grabbing his hand and speaking.

"Stop it's happening!"

On hearing this, his eyes widened in shock. He moved back observing the beast whose crystals had now turned red. If there was any word that he would use to describe the current situation, it would be terrible.

The High Fracture became slightly larger with it's crystals elongating and breaking through the ice pillars. Dante quickly touched the ground forming more ice crystals which covered the High Fracture, however the ground suddenly stopped transforming. This made Dante aware of the fact that his Nano Lites had been used up.

"Oh come on not now!", Dante said clearly upset.

Both Dante and Serena's attention was drawn to the Fracture when they heard a loud roar followed by shattering ice. Currently the beast was looking at them with a savage glare which froze them in place. They knew this was as a result of fear so they quickly shook it off.

The High Fracture roared once again unleashing a barrage of lightning bolts at them. Serena quickly stretched her hands creating a thick layer of concentrated Nano Lites which acted as a lightning today.

"That's new", Dante said observing the shield she made.

"This is no time to be joking around. What do we do now?"

Dante looked at the Fracture gritting his teeth. The plan originally was to see the extent of the High Fracture's power in it's red form before constructing a restraint strong enough to contain that kind of power. Though it changed everything when it decided to face them in it's base form. Dante didn't want to admit it but it seemed as if the creature's intelligence was what was giving them most issues at the moment. The moment it entered the dome it behaved as if it knew their plan. The truth was that he had no idea what to do at the moment, however he had promised to keep him and Serena alive so he had to come up with something.

"Take the shield down and shoot the Fracture", Dante spoke after awhile.

"What!?", Serena said with her eyes widened.

"Trust me!", Dante said with a look that made her feel like he knew what he was doing.

Dante immediately stabbed his sword into the ground before she could bring the shield down. When the shield was disactivated the lightning bolts flew to the sword in the ground as it had found another lightning rod. Serena shot a charged bullet at the High Fracture afterwards though to their dismay the bullet had no effect as it ran at it's peak speed towards them. Dante quickly entered it's path punching it with the Density gauntlet. The immerse attack power from the gauntlet pushed the monster back, however it quickly recovered and started it's assault once again.

"Serena, how many shots do you have left?"

"I have three rounds left", Serena answered quickly.

"I will give you an opening then you will hit it with everything you got", Dante said before punching the approaching Fracture into the ground with the Density gauntlet.

Dante knew he could not keep on hitting the Fracture like this as at some point it would most likely learn how to evade his attacks. The only reason he was landing blows on it now even though it was way faster than him was simply because it was predictable. At the moment it only had one target and that was Serena.

Serena quickly shot her three rounds at the Fracture just like he had instructed. They all hit their mark slowing the creature down afterwards, though it could be seen that it was not as effective as before. The High Fracture stood up quickly only to be punched by Dante with his right hand. This had no effect on the Fracture as expected but Dante had something else in mind.

When the High Fracture had gotten to a higher ground it proceeded with it's attack once again, though this time it was caught off guard by Dante's superior speed. Dante quickly punched the Fracture's face with his gauntlet resulting in the release of some shockwaves. The High Fracture flew four meters away before shaking it's head. Seeing that his punch had an effect on it, Dante smiled widely which only annoyed the beast. It would seem now that he had manage to get it's full attention.

"It seems as if it hates you now", Serena said staring at Dante with the corner of her eyes.

During the early moments before the fight, Dante had made the Speed marker by combining a Nano crystal with a Fracture's crystal. It turned out to be a ring which only worked when a thing had been tagged. He had done this when he punched the High Fracture with his right hand. This was because that was the hand he had equipped the Speed marker on.

The High Fracture on noticing it was at a disadvantage attempted another lightning strike only to witness it being conducted by the Anti-Fracture sword which was in the ground not too far away. Soon after, it sprinted to the dome wall tackling it hard in an attempt to break it. Knowing that it's chance of winning was almost not existent the High Fracture knew it had to escape.
