Happy ending?

Seeing the High Fracture tackle the wall of the ice dorm violently, Dante and Serena could not help but feel a whole lot stronger. The fact that this powerful creature was attempting to run away from them was more than enough to make them feel powerful, however they both knew that they could not let their guard down just yet.

The cracks on the dome's wall increased over and over as the Fracture gave powerful blows to it. Dante had made sure previously that he made the walls of the dome wall extra strong in order to avoid the High Fracture's escape.

"It's about time we finish this", Dante said as he removed the Density gauntlet and Quick ring from his hands.

"Yeah you're right. Let's do this", Serena said still looking at the Fracture who was tackling the dome wall.

Dante handed the gauntlet and ring to her causing her to give him a questioning look.

"What is this for?"

"It's quite clear the Density gauntlet is incapable of killing this beast in one go. That would only happen if we got continuous blows to the head and we both know it wouldn't allow that", Dante shifted his gaze to the Fracture before looking back at Serena. "Take these and distract it as best as you can, then I will deal the finishing blow with the Anti-Fracture sword."

On hearing this, she equipped the gauntlet before carefully approaching the High Fracture. At first the beast seemed to be unaware of her slow approach, however that all changed when it gave a swift slash at her face. Serena dodged quickly, gulping afterwards.

Serena knew that if she had not equipped the Quick ring Dante had given her she would most likely be dead. The Quick ring along with her speed enabled her to keep up with the High Fracture's fast attacks. Refusing to just take the defensive, Serena proceeded to kick the beast square on the face. The High Fracture shook this off quickly and continued it's attack clearly infuriated by what she had done.

Dante who was watching this battle from the side lines proceeded to slowly and carefully remove the blade from the ground. To Dante's surprise the High Fracture was aware of his actions as it quickly discharged lightning strikes all through the ice dome. Moving quickly with his speed which was exactly like the High Fracture's now, Dante took cover behind an ice pillar. Serena made another shield absorbing the lightning bolts heading towards her.

"Dante! Go for it I will give you an opening!", She said as she began to expand the shield by drawing more Nano Lites into it.

The bolts of lightning gradually began to change direction as they were being drawn to the lightning rod before them. Seeing an opening Dante sprinted to the Fracture at high speed swinging his blade at it. The High Fracture expecting something like this attempted to evade his attack, however he was still able to cut some crystals from the beast. Dante quickly grabbed the crystals in order to avoid his sword from devouring it before continuing with his onslaught.

The High Fracture moved back each time as it dodged Dante's attacks. Serena on noticing that the creature was preoccupied at the moment slowly moved up behind it. Before the High Fracture could notice this, Serena landed a powerful blow behind it's back with the Density gauntlet causing it to roar in pain. This ended up launching it towards Dante who was in front of it.

Quickly he slashed fiercely at the High Fracture's neck, beheading it in an instant. The Anti-Fracture sword wasted no time in devouring it's new prey as the High Fracture's body was gone within a few seconds.

Upon seeing this, Dante could not help but feel a little bit disappointed. At first he thought that the sword would recognize the High Fracture's body as a certain number of Fractures killed, however it seemed that was not the case. The only good thing he could see in this situation was that his sword had acquired a new form. Though he never even knew his sword had a different form, heck he didn't even know if it was really a good thing.

"New form?", Dante muttered to himself.

[Yes, a new form]

"System, what is this form stuff all about?"

[The Anti-Fracture sword has different forms designed to work in various situations. This helps the sword to act effectively in a variety of situations]

Dante didn't fully understand what it meant but he knew this wasn't the right time for asking questions. The next thing on the list was escaping, however he didn't really know why Serena gave it so much priority. After ending his conversation with the system, Dante looked up to see Serena looking at him all confused.

"Who were you talking to?"

"Uhhhh.....it's my system", Dante answered rubbing his head before giving an awkward smile.

"Oh yeah. I forgot about that", Serena said before looking at the ice dome.

Dante could not really blame her for asking that question. He knew that if he was in the same position as her he would most likely need some time to adjust to everything.

"You got the crystal?", Serena asked.

"Yeah, here", Dante responded before handing a crystal to her.

Previously he had cut off three crystal shards from the High Fracture's body. He couldn't really open his skill Void vault at the moment so he had to put them in his trouser's right pocket.

"Now we have to get to the Tower before...", Serena was suddenly interrupted by a loud rumbling sound which caused them to shudder.

"What was that!?" Dante asked a question to which he got no answer.

Just then it hit him, this was most likely what Serena was concerned about. Though the question was what exactly was causing the loud rumbling sounds they were hearing now?

"You said that if you kill a Fracture you would most likely attract a High Fracture. So what exactly happens if we kill a High Fracture Serena!?", Dante asked in a panicking tone.
