02. Taming system

There was a figure walking through a forest wearing a shining armor made out of Iron and on his back was two sets of huge double chest strapped tightly with makeshift rope made from vines.

The person was Vincent Ho.

He was walking through the forest normally before as it was daytime but now after it was raining, he always watch his steps in case there were a monster around there and he need to engage in combat.

He take a look at his hotbar; there was a set of iron tools (sword, axe, pickaxe and shovel), a shield and four empty slots.

'I don't need to bring food with me, this extra slots will be extremely convenient in the future.' He thought to himself before continuing his journey.

But he soon rested nearby a lava pool for light sources, he doesn't like using torch for temporary lighting.

While resting Vincent chugged down three to four bucket of milk in the matter of hours.

"I didn't expect it to even taste decent but god was it refreshing!" He commented satisfied.

At the same time, the rain stopped and night fell.

"Night already? I couldn't really tell when it was raining, let search for a shelter tonight-" As he was about to leave with his two double chest neatly strapped on his back, an arrow flying from miles away strike right on his left eye.

Stunned and confused, the knockback sent Vincent straight into the lave pool with all of his items.

"Damn you! You fucking skeleton!" He cursed before he fell into the lava pool, in an instant all of his hardwork perished and both his helmet and boots quickly melted away.

Clinging for dear life, Vincent swam through the thick lava with all his might and fortunately managed to get up to safety even though barely before he was shot again, he quickly rise his shield and blocked the incoming barrage of arrow that was draining his shield's durability rapidly.

He plant his shield on the ground to protect himself from the barrage of arrow while he prepared himself for another fight, Zombies.

Other than the Skeleton with ridiculous aim, Vincent need to fend off against the hordes of bloodlusted Zombies that was starting to gather around himself.

'Shit, I avoided to get into combat situations because I was extremely inexperienced in real time combat.' He thought to himself but instead of a frown, he let out a huge grin 'But, isn't this a great opportunity to gain said experience?'

Even in dire situations, Vincent tried to see through the obstacles and tried to become optimistic.

Holding a mere Iron Sword and wearing only a chestplate and leggings while his almost destroyed shield covering him from the assault of arrows.

Skeletons was shooting him with their endless amounts of arrows while the rotting Zombie began flocking around him with bottomless hunger and bloodlust in their dead eyes.

The man stood and tightened his grip on the Iron Sword with a huge grin on his face as he steadily waited one of the approaching Zombies to get into his striking distance.

*Crack!*

But sadly, fate wasn't on his favor as the shield behind him broke and leaving him vulnerable to the merciless onslaught of the entire Skeleton battalion while the Zombies just slowly but surely approaching.

He was shotted a few times on his back.

[HP: 18→8/40]

"Damn it!" He desperately tried to run away and stabbed one of the Zombies then used them as a meat shield while he disappeared into the forest.

"Fuck! That was close!" He thought to himself as he lay on the leaves while his hotbar showed that his heart was dropped into two heart.

[Ding!]

[…]

"Taming?" He looked at the panel slightly surprised "Is it the same type of Taming with wolf and cats? Or is it something completely different?"

As if hearing his voice, the system responded with a simple sentence.

[Host can acquire skills that was possessed by the tamed species and turned all member of tamed species into a controllable pawn when within range of control.]

"That just make this game world a whole lotta interesting!" He muttered to himself as his grin widened.

I imagined in the future, the version of myself that managed to conquer the entirety of Minecraft after taming a bunch of Mobs is going to be undeniably badass!

With this power I could finally get into my role as the Demon King of Minecraft!

"But killing a Zombie one by one will be a nightmare, so did searching for a Zombie spawner in this vast world…" Suddenly an idea popped into his head "How could I forgot about that! Mob Farm! I genuinely forgot about its existence for a moment but… its not like it was that important to me as I rarely played in a map akin to one block or skyblock and only played normal so I don't really bother myself to build one when I already have a few spawner farm… before everything I'll need to gather a lot more resources again."

On the far distance, on top of a cliff there was a man with an identical appearance to Vincent with the only significant difference between them was their eyes.

A brown colored skin, light-blue T-shirt, purple pants and dark blue eyes overflowing with wisdom.

"What happened to you in the last 100,000 years, Herobrine?" He muttered to himself as his eyes show a sense of familiarity as he stared at Vincent.

"Cube, that wasn't Herobrine was it? At least not the one I fought thousands of years ago…" He said to a floating gray cube.

The man was one of the legends that passed throughout the world of Minecraft.

He was known as the savior of the world, the savage plunderer, the greatest mind, the genius craftsman, the one who fought the Demon King and the first ever player, Steve.
