Chapter 2: Devastation

When l woke up l saw a that l was laying on a bed and that there was someone byy side who had laid his head down on me because l felt his presence on me.

I tried to study the person and noticed that he was a man who seemed a little tiny older than but inthe same average, he was wearing a simple black t-shirt and a black long pant.

His arms were crossed so that he could support his head by l felt that he was holding by other arm softly l wondered what was really happening from me ever since l woke in that dumpster over the streets.

His black hair was somehow kinda short and curly in a way but not much. I couldn't see his face because he laid looking on the other side. But l didn't try to wake him up l just let him sleep on my arm because somehow l felt safe and calm because he was around l wondered why the hell l felt that way because l didn't even know him and it felt strange calling him man because how did l know that he was a man am l a man too. Yeah maybe that's true because what makes a man a man after all. My head was filled with many thoughts when he halted and slowly turned his head over and slowly opened his eyes to look at me. And the moment l saw his face l gasped he was so so breathtakingly charming. His eyes grew wider and maybe thought that he was dreaming because he first had to rub on the and look at me.

"Emy you are back you are alive." He cheered and quickly ran to the door and started calling out people l didn't know.

Then after his calling four people who were in blank white came over me and started looking all over my body. I wondered why they were checking me or why was l in this place at first.

"This is incredible, that her vital lines are working perfectly fine like nothing had happened." The one who seemed to be the senior to the others said in a happy tone and it kept on confusing me.

"Can you hear us, Emy? He asked the person who was the one who slept on my arm.

"Who are you and what are you talking about, l wanna get ot of this place."l started to scream pulling out the strings which were injected on my skin.

They held me down but kept on trying to fight with them, finally in the end l gave up and sat down dumbfounded to them.

"She is still in the amnesia phase and it very serious in her condition. But for us there's nothing we can do you will have to make her remember by yourselves besides that's how it works maybe living with the ones you used to live with may help her." He stated out and they all nodded.

" So she has to go home? When will she be discharged?" The man asked who was sleeping on my arm.

"Tomorrow she will be discharged but for now let's leave you alone." He said and excused himself out with the others.

"Who are you and what do you need from me?"l asked feeling so lost and felt so helplessness crept all over my body.

"Look Emy , am Alexander. Don't you remember me? Who did this to you.",his voice was broke because he seemed to be sad while for me l was only in the moment to process what was going on. He got near the bed and sat down on the bed and only looked at me before speaking out.

"Am your fiance and you are my soon to be wife but it seems like the accident was serious."he started shortly.

" Explain all of that to me quickly because l really don't trust you." I said looking at him with wide eyes and clear ears.

"You may not remember but it all happened on our wedding day. I was waiting for you and sadly the wedding got cancelled because they said that you were lost. And when the police came to report to us that you were lost in a car accident l was devastated. And now after all this time all l want for you is to be safe." He then softly landed his hand on my face and l didn't react from somehow l felt that what he was saying maybe the truth but what if he is lying and what we seriously wants me for is taking advantage of me.
