THE HIGHER CULTS.

Ava's POV.

I couldn't believe everything I heard from him. Nathan is a gangster. Correction, was a gangster. This is a lot to take in.

No wonder he was so persistent about this Los Illuminados. He had history with them.

He stands up and stretches his hand for me to take it.

"Where are we going now?" I asked a bit coldly if you ask me.

"I'm taking you home. I knew you were gonna hate me after telling you this and I don't want to hear it so I want to take you home there you can rant this story to anybody you want to rant it to. Maybe even the cops. I don't deserve to be alive any way after all I've done."

This boy really gets me angry with his way of thinking.

"What in hell would make you think I'm angry with you right now?!" It's a really terrible thing my whole cramps and period started yesterday so this isn't gonna be fun for him at all.

"You sound angry right now."

"I'm angry with you're way of thinking. You told this to Cassandra and she didn't get mad so why on earth do you think I'd get angry?!"

"You're yelling at me literally and you're telling me you aren't mad you have a really good way of convincing and besides you're not Cass. She understands me. You don't know the first bit about me."

My jealousy is coming in now making me say this.

"No. I don't but for the little bit you told me I know you're a damn coward who'd run away from the people he's meant to protect."

"See this is why I'd never wanted to tell you."

"Really because I thought it was because you don't want to be pitied. Maybe you can ask your girlfriend Cassandra what to do next time you want to tell someone a secret when your cuddling her in your bed." He just sighed.

"Listen Ava. You don't know what goes on between Cassandra and I. You can never take the place she made in my heart do you understand. Do you want to know why?"

"Because she's the only one who made me feel something again. Like a part of me wasn't broken and I could still fix it to become more. You never cared about me like that." He scoffs." All you want is your own personal bodyguard so you don't die and you can keep living the happy life you want as a school bitch not caring how many other people you make unhappy. If I'm wrong say something that proves it."

". . . " I can't come up with anything to say. Come on Ava, you don't even know what you want.

"That's what I thought. Let's get back before the others start worry about us." He picked me up and went back to the house.

The others were on the couch playing whatever game it is they where playing.

"Nathan. Oh my gosh where have you been?" My rival rushes up to him and hugs him.

Yes, I said rival.

I mean she's basically fighting for my man.

No, technically you are fighting for her man.

Not now mind.

"We just went on a walk." He looks so convincing saying that.

"Okay I'm not buying what you just said I know you. When you're ready we'll talk about it. For now I'm just glad you and her aren't hurt."

Bitch.

How is she able to tell. Theirs practically no emotion in his eyes to tell you something went wrong.

"I'm going upstairs. When you love birds are done call me down."

I immediately waltz upstairs.

It hurts.

It really hurts. I really like that idiot and all he can care about is that bitch of a Cassandra.

I feel a tear slid down my cheek.

I can't believe this. I'm crying over a boy.

I never cry over boys, they cry over me. Karma hurts like a bitch. Just thinking about how I made all those other boys feel.

I remember I was dared to date a nerd then publicly humiliate him. If only I had know this is what it feels like to be crushed by a crush.

I hate this.

I hate him.

My phone starts ringing.

"Hello this is Ava Chrisland."

"Nice to here your voice again beautiful." Psycho! "Nathan has finally told you he's past I presume."

". . ."

"Good now all that's left is to see your dad's confession. In a few days you'll hear about the higher cults Nathan has told you about live on T.V don't tell anyone. Also after the broadcast stay with Sandra because after the shit I'm going to do she is going to need all the love she can get. I remember my promise to you and Sandra about the people that find out about your discussion. Mason and Colton may never make it back to that house if they leave. I'm going to keep them alive for the sake of your bff's comfort but after the live broadcast they will die. Double pain for Sandra at once." He chuckles a bit before the line goes dead.

I can't think of anything else to do.

I scream.

I scream like my life depended on it.

Nathan is the first person to rush in my room while I'm crying and thrashing around the place. He pulls me into a hug from the back while holding my waist tightly to prevent me from jumping as I go to the balcony ready to jump from there.

"Leave me alone! Nathan leave me!" The tears don't leave my eyes as they roll down.

"I'm not doing that."

"I want to die. . . I'm tired. . . I'm tired of crying. . . Leave meeee!!!!" I said while he was still holding me. I'm tired.

"Calm down Ava."

"Nathan how can I do that when I know Mason and Colton is going to die and Sandra is going to be broken."

"What?!" the others said in unison. I didn't realize that they were hear.

"Guys we can talk about deaths later. Let's prevent one now." Nathan said.

"That's easy for you to say. Your not the one dying are you now? All you care about is protecting your bitch of a girlfriend Cassandra the rest of us here mean nothing but shit to you." Mason said angrily.

"The fuck did you just say?" Nathan visibly tenses up.

"You heard what I said."

"Stop. This is you and Colton's fault. I told you Colton not to stick your nose in something that could kill you but instead of listening to me you brought Mason into this." I said frustrated.

"It's my fault for wanting to know what happened to Nathan. If you had told me what happened to him right away we wouldn't be in this mess." Colton shot back angrily.

"You know what none of this would have happened if this son of a bitch called Nathan hadn't come into your life." Mason said pointing towards Nathan.

"Hey I'm not the one that sent your hoe to come sit with me because you had a small dick." Nathan shot back.

"Come say that to my face."

"I'm right in front of you." He's not lying just an arm's length distance.

Mason was about to react.

"If you touch my brother. We are not only over but I'mma beat the shit out of you."

"Of course you take he's side. You know you're the same whore like her."

"Says the idiot that jumps from one girls bed to another. I can't believe Ava was another stupid idiot to fall for another of your shit tricks for sex."

Now I'm virtually annoyed at her.

"And you didn't fuck him like the slut you are." I retorted.

"I didn't do shit with him. I wouldn't fuck him if my life depended on it. Unlike you that would have done shit.

" I don't open my legs for every damn guy I see."

"Yeah right like every one here hasn't fit in your pants." Nathan said.

Cassandra stands up from where she's sitting raises her hand.

The slap that follows shuts everyone up.

She slapped him for insulting me.

"Nathan I'm more than disappointed in you. I thought you of all people would be reasonable enough to know this is part of his plan."

"What do you mean?" Nathan asks

"All the victims who have died from paralysis by him are usually close to his immediate vicinity."

I still don't understand what that has to do with this I don't think everyone else does too.

"Oh shit. You're right."

"Can you guys explain what's going on in your heads everyone else is lost." Mason says.

"Listen the the call that he gave you was to shake you." Nathan starts to explain. "If you are shaken then it automatically affects Sandra and I and then Cassandra and Mason before you know it this turmoil begins just like what is happening now."

"He knows he can't kill Mason and Colton that easily with paralysis up close so he's trying to get this argument with us and make everyone go separate ways. It makes killing us easier." Cassandra explains.

"Why would he be trying to split us up? There are bigger threats to him like the police, FBI, army. It doesn't make sense." Colton says.

"It makes sense because he sees us as a more potential threat than them who barely know anything about the case.

All I'm saying is that if he breaks us. We won't trust each other. If we don't trust each other communication breaks and if that happens we are all left out in the open."

"Trust can't be made when you guys keep secrets. When all your ready to let all the skeletons out of the cupboard let me know. I'm in the garden." Colton storms out.

Soon after everyone leaves the room.

I'm crying about everything. Why am I involved in shit. I swear if I get a normal high school life again I'll be better forget the queen bee act. It's taken me nowhere.

If this is going to work I need to make amends. Sandra I hope you forgive me. I go out of my room.

After apologizing to everyone. One more person remains.

"Nathan told me all the things you said about me when he took you to the house. Everyone here might accept your apology easily but he won't. He opened a big hole in his heart to you and you just added spicy stuff to that."

"I know. I'm really sorry for that." She grabs my arm and puts it in hers.

"Ava I really like you. I couldn't ask for a better girlfriend for Nathan. Though there are some perks about you I don't like but you're perfect for him and he needs that and I know you like him to."

"Too bad he only has eyes for you."

"That's where you have it all wrong. That's just our way of being us around us. If I was he's again I don't think  anyone that is not a couple here would be able to stand us. Anyway all I'm saying is that I want you to make stuff okay with him." She smiles and let's go off me.

"I can see why he likes you. Colton would be really lucky to get you."

"Colton likes me." She says surprised. "I never really thought of him like that. Now that I think about it he's cute. Maybe I'll give him a try."

"That would make him stop being jealous of everything you and Nathan do."

"Unlike you." The smile in her face expanding.

Now I'm in front of Nathan's door when I'm about to knock. Nathan opens the door.

"I got a call. Is that invisible dude awake because I need to talk with him now. Karen might not be safe."

Not again.

Guy this chapter is really intense in my perspective but what do I know. What do you think is happening now? Invisible man has been in a coma since but when he wakes up another big secret might just be unlock. Wait for my next update soon.
