[3rd person's POV]

While Hiruzen nearly shited his pants because of Mito, our young Minato could be seen walking towards a tall oak tree that stood at a warping 20 meters high in the Senju garden. He saw Kushina sitting on a branch of the tree while looking at the Hokage mountain. He slowly climbed up the tree while taking slow and steady steps to be unnoticed, but severely underestimated her sensory skill, just as he was about to scare her by standing behind her and clap hear her ears she punched aiming at his head while holding back to not throw him off the tree, At that moment Minato knew, He fucked up. If he didn't subconsciously tilt his head he would have regretted it.

"Hmpm how are you that fast? I thought I had you there?" she asked with a cute pout while looking at Minato accusingly.

"Haha… I train well daily you know" He laughed awkwardly, trying to cover up the fact that he would have definitely gotten hit if he was a little late at tilting, At that moment Minato thanked his [Super Secret Rain Of Rocks Training Method] which consisted of him catapulting a bunch of many small to medium-sized rocks upwards the sky and trying to dodge all of those when they fell without using his lightning-chakra. He saw those things as a basic stat multiplier so if his perception is fast when normal it would be even faster when he used lightning chakra, Now he will definitely say that all that pain was worth the gain.

"You better train even harder if you want to become the Hokage 'cause I will be the one to become Hokage. But as you are my friend I will allow you to be my assistant" Kushina said while looking proud of what? I don't know. Sigh Women.

"I will be happy even with that," Minato said as he sat next to her at the branch.

Hearing his reply Kushina, who expected him to be agitated just blushed while murmuring

"Idiot Minato" to herself making sure that Minato wouldn't hear it.

They sat in silence while watching the busy streets of Konoha.

[Minato's POV]

We sat on the tree branch while watching the busy streets of Konoha. Suddenly I felt a weight on my shoulders, I turned and saw that Kushina had fallen asleep and was using my shoulders as pillows, probably that day's tiredness caught up with her. I saw her cute face which had a slight blush. I'm convinced she has a [Red As Blood] kekkei genkai. I suddenly had a funny feeling in my stomach that maybe I should stop eating fish daily, but the feeling felt good. I just sat there with her leaning on my shoulders.

Seeing that it was fully dark and slowly insects started to surround us, I used my recent invention [Millisecond death of expanding flame bubble] which surrounded me and Kushina whom I slowly carried to make sure that she didn't wake up, The bubble expanded and killed most of the insects, I didn't use my usual [Insect Killing Charge] as it would definitely wake Kushina which is just passing a small amount which is harmless for humans but causes a sting but the insects like flies will be fries and it also helps me increase my resistance to sudden Lightning attacks after practising it for a few months I can easily take an E-ranked lightning jutsu without reacting, trust me bro I tried.

I jumped down from the tree while carrying her in a princess carry, I landed as gently as I could and went inside her home and searched for her room after seeing a door that had her name on it I opened the door and turned the lights on with my legs as my hands were busy.

The room looked pretty normal and had a single-person bed. I laid her down on the bed and covered her with a blanket. She suddenly moved and made herself comfortable inside the blanket. I looked at her sleeping face and said unconsciously,

"She's really cute"

[3rd Person's POV]

After saying that Minato turned off the lights and went outside, When the door finally closed Kushina opened her eyes and had a face as red as her hair. She woke up the moment Minato landed on the ground after jumping off the tree but was too embarrassed to do anything.

'He just called me cute' 'Did he just confess' 'Should I say yes or no' 'Will we be married'

She had all sorts of thoughts within a very short span, Minato would have had stars in his eyes if he knew her thinking speed. She shook her head, cleared all her thoughts, and slapped her cheeks with her hands.

"I should not rush things and should start to know him properly first, UMU"

She nodded to herself and lay down thinking about all the moments Minato talked to her from her introduction to him saying she was cute. It made her tummy feel funny and she decided to reduce the amount of ramen she eats. She slowly drifted to her sleep.

Unknown to her, this scene was seen by Mito who used the surveillance seal she placed on her room to check if she had any problems. Mito smiled at their actions and further resolved that her choice was indeed right.

[The Next Day]

After completing his regular training and curing himself of his cold by heating his body using [ Human Body Heater] Jutsu which is just reinforcing his body with fire-chakra, He decided to buy chicken and make chicken katsu for today. Instead of the usual fish, he prepared an extra box for Kushina to let her taste his food. After finishing the food he took a bath and wore a full-hand jacket which had white in the middle and red at the hands and black tracks.

As usual, he entered his classroom and saw that no one was present and decided to complete the book [Analogy Of Chakra Coil] written by some Hyuga clan doctor.

[Minato's POV]

As I was reading the book with my full concentration a pair of soft hands covered my eyes from the back,

"Guess who?" asked a voice that definitely was Kushina's.

"Good Morning Kushina," I said as I slowly removed her hands from covering my eyes and turned to see Kushina who stood there smiling.

"Sorry for sleeping in the middle of our conversation yesterday" she apologised while smiling sheepishly

"It's no problem. You should have been tired, did you sleep well?"

"Yes" she replied as she sat next to me

We talked about some simple stuff while I told her about all our classmate's behaviours and characters, While telling her about my own jutsus and training methods she started laughing at my naming sense and said they were not good, I was shocked like how was the names bad just as I was about to start the argument our sensei entered the room.

He said that today we had traps and war tactics class, tch war a thing which was definitely unneeded like why did the first Hokage make much effort to catch all the tailed beasts except nine tales and send them to other villages to give them a sense of security for their villages but right after he died they decided to use that same gift from us to attack us. There are and never will be winners or losers in the war as the moment the war started both sides lost. In the end, the winner is the one who just lost less compared to the other.

I listened to the classes attentively and so did Kushina. During lunch, she complimented my cooking which made me feel the same way as yesterday. When school ended I dragged Kushina to my usual training spot and showed her around and taught her how to walk on trees when she asked me to teach her that. She had a really hard time controlling her chakra so I told her to practise the [Sticking the Leaf to the Body] technique whose name was changed to [Leaf Sticking] technique by Kushina. While she tried to practise I did the regular training and increased the regular number by 1.

I decided to try inventing the new jutsu idea I had after reading about how it currently works. I concentrated and made my right hand have a high negative potential while my left had a positive potential. It didn't work. The moment my left hand had some positive potential the current flowed through my body and made my hair stand. Hmm, this could be used as a party trick. My current look fetched me a full minute of laughter from Kushina.

This time I decided to fill the remaining part of my body except my palms with wind chakra as it is superior to lightning chakra and I focused and made full effort to make sure the current didn't flow. The wind chakra was a waste of time.

I stopped focusing on maintaining the wind chakra and concentrated on increasing the potential on both sides and controlled the chakra to stop the movement of the current. My hands started becoming hot and they slightly glowed, I got nervous and touched a tree with my hand and,

*FLASH* *BOOM*

The tree burst open and both of my palms were burning. My ears were ringing and I started getting dizzy. I couldn't see clearly due to the flash and all I could see was white, I felt someone holding me.

"....T."

"...AT."

"Loo. .. .E"

I felt someone lift me as I fainted.

[Hatake Sakumo's POV]

I was hiding as usual while seeing the kids train and I have to say his ways to train are creative. I saw him holding out his hands with a frown on his face, Suddenly his hands started glowing and he rushed to touch the tree next to him and holy shit! That was bright and loud, I instinctively covered my ears with wind chakra to restrict the flow of air inside my ears and covered my eyes. I opened and saw the trunk of the tree being annihilated and Minato was standing there unsteadily, his palms were fully burnt and his eyes were unfocused. Kushina who saw this rushed to his side and shook him trying to get him out of the shock. I am again in the same situation, duty or heart. I hesitated for a second and decided, Fuck duty I can live with shame in my name. I flickered near them, lifted the boy and girl, and ran to the nearby hospital.

[After a while]

[Mito's POV]

I rushed to the hospital after being informed about Minamoto-Kun's situation. I entered the hospital and asked the receptionist for the room number. After knowing the number, I rushed to Room 03. From the door's window, I saw Minato lying in the bed sleeping, his hands being wrapped in bandages and Kushina sitting near the bed with red eyes.

I opened the door and entered the room and Kushina ran straight towards me enveloping me in a tight hug, I calmed her down and asked what happened to him.

After hearing the story I facepalmed, From what I guessed He wanted to try out his new jutsu which resulted in this accident. I consoled Kushina and checked if he had any other injuries. I decided to talk to him about learning under me after he woke up.

I left the two alone and left to talk with Sakumo who stood outside the room,

"Thank you for saving Sakumo-kun," I thanked him.

"No need to thank Mito-sama. I just couldn't stand watching the kid being hurt"

[Kushina's POV]

I sat there and looked at the idiot's face as he was sleeping peacefully while making me all scared, I should beat him for making me scared after he got well.

I slowly took his hands in mine and tried to see if there were any other problems. I thought of the accident back then while I had my eyes closed and was trying to stick the leaves to my forehead I heard a sudden booming sound, All the birds in the vicinity started flying away due to the noise, I got up and ran towards the origin of the sound and saw Minato standing there unsteadily and both his palms were burnt and his eyes were unfocused and no matter how much I called his name and shook him he didn't react and finally fainted in my arms for a moment I thought he died and was too shocked to move.

The guy who seemed like Mr. Perfect and the aim of all those fangirls of his, lay down in front of me injured and sleeping. I touched his left cheek and saw his face. Yes, I will protect him when he's vulnerable. He's not as strong as I imagined, and he still needs others' help. He said he would help me to achieve my dreams and I will do the same for him while standing by his side in the future. I returned to my seat and sat there thinking about becoming strong. Finally, I decided to ask Mito Oba-san to teach me and I'm definitely dragging his idiotic ass with me to train. I can't let him train alone after this.

I left for my home after seeing that he was not waking up.

[The Next Day]

[Minato's POV]

I slowly woke up and felt my hands being covered by something, I woke up groggily and saw the unfamiliar place I was in. After seeing the bandages on my hands, the distinct smell, and my dress, I am pretty sure I am in a hospital. I got up and went to the bathroom to heed nature's call. I took off the bandages and saw that my palms had healed.

I thought about what happened back then, My memories are still messy. I only remember trying out my new idea for a jutsu and failing it miserably. I sighed and sat in my bed.

Did Kushina admit me to the hospital? I should thank her. She must have been really scared. I should also apologize to her when I meet her. Suddenly The door for my ward opened and Kushina came in carrying a bag full of fruits. When she saw me awake she dropped the bag and rushed towards me, I raised my hands thinking she was going to hug me but all I received was a crisp,

*SLAP*

I'm pretty sure her right hand's imprint is on my left cheek and it really stings, I could have avoided the hit but I just stood there taking the hit maybe to make myself feel less guilty.

"I'M S-"

*SLAP*

Now I have her left hand's imprint on my right cheek, now I didn't really expect that.

"Sto-"

Again before I could speak I was enveloped in a bone-crushing hug.

"You Idiot!! Do you know how scared I was?"

She shouted at me while hugging, I started feeling guilty even though the slaps hurt.

"I'm really sorry I didn't think the experiment would have gone this wrong"

I apologized in a soft voice while hugging her back

"Promise me you won't do something reckless like this again"

I saw her looking straight into my eyes with a fierce look in her eyes and a determined look, which just made her even cuter.

" I promise that I won't be this reckless while training"

She calmed down released me from the hug and took my hands to see the condition of my palms. She sighed in relief and sat on my bed while I sat next to her.

"You know the slaps really sting," I said to her while trying to massage my poor cheeks with my hands.

"I'm sorry" She looked at my cheeks and replied in a sad voice, "Why now I feel guilty.

She suddenly cupped both my cheeks with her hands and massaged my cheeks and damn her hands were soft. I closed my eyes while she continued to rub my cheek and suddenly she dropped a bomb,

"Oh! I forgot to say, Mito Oba-san decided to teach us after I asked her"

"WHAT!!"
