It'll Take Time To Heal

Big fox?

That name sounded a little…strange?

Standing up with the phone in his hand, Tobias walks over to the girl with her head currently shoved in the fridge, and hands her the phone.

"Someone's calling you."

Popping her head out from inside the fridge, Mimi looks down at the phone in the man's brawny, rough hand and takes it. Looking at the caller ID, Mimi's lips twitched.

"Uh…I have to take this." She smiled sheepishly.

"Mm," Tobias replied before returning to his station.

Mimi watched him leave and sighed before walking out of her apartment to answer the call.

Meanwhile, Alec, who was intently concentrating on the task in front of him, noticed a sudden familiar chill run through the air. Feeling a cold sweat run down his back, Alec glances to the figure beside him and holds his breath. Although the man's face was expressionless the air around him was as cold as an iceberg.

While folding dumplings and wearing a pink and white polka-dot apron the man still looked menacing!

Just as Alec was contemplating on a way to escape, the man's low voice spoke. "Can I ask you something?"

Alec was speechless. "Y-You want to ask me something?"

Tobias's expression turned dull, confirming Alec's question. Right, he didn't like repeating himself…

"What is it?"

Tobias went silent and pursed his thin lips together as if he thought over the right words to say.

"Whenever I'm near this person, there are times where I feel relaxed and warm. But...sometimes when I'm with them my chest feels tight to the point it hurts. Why is that?" Tobias asked, his handsome face solemn.

Alec looked at Tobias and pitifully sighed for the big man. It didn't take a genius to know he was talking about Mimi. Based on what had taken place moments ago, he knew Tobias was struggling from Mimi's obvious distance.

The walls the girl put up were not ones that could easily be torn apart - not even by the famous and powerful Tobias Itou.

"All I can say is it'll take time. Mimi has a lot of scars, and it won't be easy to mend them."

Tobias's eyes narrowed dangerously. "You know about them?"

Alec knew the 'them' he so coldly referred to was Mimi's concealed scars.

Alec coughed. "Not much to be honest. But I know it seems like nothing will change between you two but it will. She's changed a lot since she's met you. You'll just have to be patient."

Tobias replied earnestly. "I'll always wait for her."

Alec didn't know whether or not to laugh or cry hearing his bold declaration. But seeing how serious he was, Alec felt happy knowing his little sister had such a person as her idol.

As if a weight was lifted from his shoulders, the air surrounding Tobias turned pleasant – ridding of the menacing chill. Alec sighed and went back to his dumplings.

While working, Alec's eyes glanced toward Tobias and he hesitantly uttered the following words, "Earlier you said you felt warm when you were around Mimi…you don't happen to…like her do you?"

Sensing a hidden meaning in Alec's words, Tobias expression remained indifferent while his eyebrow raised up.

In a serious tone, he responds "You should learn to get rid of those perverted fantasies, it's unhealthy."

Alec choked on his own saliva.

What perverted fantasies! Damn you, he had none! He was the purest human on earth yet why was he suddenly the pervert now?!
