MHA: High Voltage

Things didn't go like the original. A tragic event in Denki's childhood has transformed him into a new and improved future hero. he won't be the lazy, dumb bum he was before. Now, using his newfound capabilities, he'll become a true powerhouse of class 1.A! this is a rewrite of a fic I started ages ago on another acc I lost access to. I've decided to try and improve upon what I made before with a more realistic rise to power. I've still tried my best to root his abilities in somewhat real to life science, several based off of real world animals and insects that use electricity in interesting ways. But not all of his techniques will be perfectly realistic. His stronger ones will definitely stretch that very thin line at best. I reasoned that, in a world where a guy with metal wings can fly and a guy can punch out his fist to change the weather, it was fine though lol. wish me luck, any support and supportive criticism welcomed.

14; Meeting the Principle

As Denki and Momo disembarked, making their way up to U.A. they chatted amongst themselves.

Momo was stil blown away by Denki's performance in the entrance exam. He had well and truly thrashed his competition. There could be no doubt in anyones mind who the top of their class was.

"I never did ask much about your test through the recommendations Momo. I know you did well, but what did you have to do?" Denki asked. The recommendations testing was held before the entrance exam.

Denki was so absorbed in his own training leading up he had barely been able to interrogate Momo about it. "I told you, it was pretty dull. Just a quirk apprehension test and the same written exam."

Momo snickered at his forgetfulness, if it wasn't immediately intersting Denki always forgot it. "Oh yeah haha, sorry peachy." Denki laughed shamelessly at his selective amnesia.

"I told you to stop calling me that Denkiii!" Momo shouted in exasperation. It was an old nickname Denki had made, one he used more and more as she got more and more pissed.

"Awww but I like it." Denki sulked dramatically. "Besides your name literally means peach anyways what it matter?"

He added teasingly.

"You know why!" Momo harrumphed. Her arms crossing as she pouted at him in an embarrassed flush.

"Fine fine... How about Mo then or maybe Mo²?" Denki kept digging, bissfully unaware. Momo's playful pout soon turned into a dark frown as he dug deeper and deeper.

"Lets just get to U.A." she sighed, knowing his love for winding her up. No way would he give up on such an easy target.

"Hahah, wait. Wait for me Mo!" Denki sped up to keep pace with her as he chuckled at his own terrible jokes.

The gates to U.A. loomed in on the horizon. Imposing and futuristic. The school gave off that modern achitecture of tomorrow feel. Denki examined it.

"still would prefer real brick and mortor, but I guess Im 'old school' like that." He punned, making himself laugh and Momo to sigh yet again.

"That was maybe your worst yet." She commented dryly, yet a small smile tugged at her mouth. Mirth lit up her eyes as she pretended to hate his humour.

Or at least Denki would swear that was the case. She was fan secretly in his mind anyway. "It is impressive though. The sheer size of it if anything."

Denki spoke as he looked at everything his eyes could see. "Yeah, like a high tec school of the future!" Momo said full of enthusiasm and pride for her new school.

"Easy there, we haven't even started classes. No need for the U.A. for life just yet" Denki joked seeing her budding loyalty to U.A.

"Uhuh, sure sure. Ill wait till after the first lesson then." Momo responded playfully. They made their way along the paths admiring as much of the grounds as they could before school officially started.

"Wow. Look they even have gardens and parks for students to relax in!" Momo screamed in joy as she bounced along by Denki's side.

Denki felt he was catching second hand excitement overflowing from her. "Yeah they look really nice too." He added as he gazed about in mild interest.

He'd rather be looking at the training halls. 'I wanna know what type of equipment they have there. U.A. is known for having the best of the best, us that really true though.'

Soon they came across a large domed building. It was a little ways away from the main complex and, while smaller for sure, it was no lees impressive seeming in the flat green environment that encompassed it.

The glass doors held a large sign above them. Denkis eyes grew larger, like two giant orbs, as he read the sign.

'U.A. TRAINING HALL.'

He rushed inside Momo trailing behind him. His form blurred from machine to machine as he listed their names like he was reading them off a sheet.

Momo could only chuckle, now it was the other way around. She followed after him as it was her turn to listen to his excited babbling about all the machines and different training facilities.

She knew it was only fair after he had sat patiently through her talking about all the flowers and wildlife they had seen in the parks and gardens earlier.

Soon Denki calmed down. He had managed to explore everything inside the giant dome. Once he had settled in he could take his time to truly test it all out.

For now he had to reluctantlypeel himself away from the hall. They made their way back to the main courtyard and talked excitedly about their future here.

"In your second year you canove into the dorms on campus. It'll be great to be so close to everything. Especially now we know it isnt jus some empty land with only the main building in the center too!"

Momo rattled on about the future and the possible plans she could start making now. Denki for his part listened and nodded along.

Adding comments and making sure he didn't zone out. 'Don't need another bump on my head. No thank you.'

As they made it back to the front of the main complex they noticed a small, well dressed animal standing there.

His figure seemed tiny from so far away yet, the closer they got the smaller he seemed. Like an optical illusion. He somehow managed to get smaller!

The diminutive figure smiled warmly at them as they approached. His white fur matching his shiny white teeth. His cute face marred by a large scar running down through one eye.

"Hello there! You two are early." The person spoke softly, his voice jovial and light. He watched them with a twinkle in his eye.

"Yeah well thought we'd give ourselves some time to look around." Denki's voice rang out in an impartial tone. His feature schooled, not cold but neither did they give anything away.

Momo looked between the two in mild confusion. The little figure dressed in a nice suit before them seemed harmless. Like a young child. Yet Denki seemed serious.

That usually meant that whatever was going on had more than met the eye. She too became a little more serious. Standing straight and looking at the person infront with respect.

"It's a lovely school, the gardens are beautiful!" She spoke in a smooth yet chirpy tone. Her perky personality shining through in an endearing way.

"Aren't they!" The white furred man infron of them spoke excitedly. "I love walking through them. Sometimes I just sit there and enjoy the quiet!" He reminisced wistfully.

His shoulders seemed to slump as he relaxed at the memory. "Its so nice to find someone else who appreciates them." He added as he looked at Momo almost thankfully.

"Oh how couldn't I. Im sure everyone else does too, they're probably just too caught up in their training." Momo said helpfully, like she needed to cheer this small person up.

Scarface nodded happily. "Thank you Momo. That was very kind of you to say." As he spoke Momo froze for a second as she processed his words.

Denki smirked at her reaction. "So, Principle Nezu, what brings you out here?" He supplied, watching Momo give him a look that made him chuckle nervously.

That fun was gonna cost him. "Oh not much, like you I enjoy exploring the grounds early in the morning. It keeps me fit!" He added jokingly, his good mood contagious.

"The fresh air always helps." Denki joined as his own mood lifted. The mouse seemed to have that affect. Calming and soothing. His gentle presence a balm to the soul.

"Well I won't keep you. Otherwise you may be late for your homeroom class." Nezu spoke breaking the comfortable silence that spread between them.

"I hear your homeroom teacher can be a little stick in the mud!" With that he winked at them before strolling away. Denki shook his head as he smiled at his retreating figure.

"Come on Momo, best not be late then" he said as they made their way. As they walked Momo stormed ahead before turning around.

"Don't think I forgot about your little prank Denki." Denki stumbled as he heard her. She was already off before he caught himself.

"Well that's gonna bite me in the arse"
