Nezu was sighing when he finished hearing what Aizawa said about Duncan, they really had a problem...
"... Then, to conclude I would like to make a recommendation."
"What do you have in mind?" Nezu asked as he looked at Duncan's profile and tried to imagine how to make this work.
"As you know, Duncan is already a professional, we can't consider him a kid without experience like the others, to put it simply, the only reason for him to be here is those useless laws, in my eyes, we don't have any reason to make him a student."
"Mm, Duncan is even stronger than most of the ranked heroes so It makes sense in a way, but since he is here there must be something we could teach him..."
Aizawa however shook his head, his eyes tapped on the table for a moment as he organized the words on his mind. "I don't think we have to actively teach him anything, instead, it might be good to make him teach the students, his experience as a bounty hunter is something we lack in the hero's course thanks to the hero's association conceited views, with his help, this class might actually become the strongest in history."
Nezu looked at him with wide eyes, it took a moment for him to fully comprehend that Aizawa without saying it, somehow praised a person. "You sure have some high views of him, don't you?"
"No, I'm just being rational, this Duncan is the kind of person that you just need a glance to understand. I believe that he could deal with any situation just because he is that pragmatical... if a wall blocks his path, he destroys the wall, and if 'a' cancer corrupts our society, he goes there and does what we are too coward to do." Aizawa's eyes reflected his opinions, he was sure of what he was talking about, perhaps, what they were really in need of was someone on the darker side of society to teach the students, who know what changes this would result in? The only thing he knew is that bounty hunters were stronger, so maybe they could change the heroes for the better.
Nezu thought for a moment, inside UA what could someone be if he wasn't a teacher nor a student? The only positions that came to his mind were those related to administration, janitor, or repairing. But then, he remembered a position that they never filled because there wasn't anyone that filled the requirements, it was the position of teacher assistant consultant.
"Very well, I think I know what to do, you can go now Aizawa."
Aizawa nodded and left Nezu's office. After he left, Nezu took out his phone and called All Might, it took a while for him to answer, but he finally did it.
"Hello?"
"All Might, it is me if possible could you look for Duncan and bring him to my office?"
"No problem, we will be there in a few minutes."
We? What does he mean? Could it be...
"Alright, I see you two soon."
|---------------------------------------|
"... As I was saying, young Duncan, you..." All Might was about to continue his words, but Duncan interrupted him.
"I already said that no matter what you said, I wouldn't stay here, you know very well of my abilities. This is not overconfidence, All Might, you even saw how strong I can be if I want!"
All Might sighed, he couldn't help but shake his head hearing his words, for him, the hero course wasn't just about becoming stronger, it was also about building a person's character. Just look at him now, Duncan ever since working as a bounty hunter, never made any friends or even lived like a normal person, all he did in his free time was hunt people or train non-stop. You can't even say he was just living his life, because there was much more to it than just that, and he wanted at least to teach him this!
"Duncan, I know you can't understand my words, but I assure you that the hero course still has something to offer you... But since so much happened, let's first visit Nezu's office, it was he who just called me."
"Fine."
Hearing his answer he turned and started climbing the stairs. When they arrived Nezu was waiting for them with a cup of hot chocolate, perhaps he thought that this would somehow make Duncan more comfortable, or it could be that he actually likes this thing.
"Please, All Might, Duncan, take a seat and feel free to serve yourselves a cup of hot chocolate."
All Might nodded and took one for him, while Duncan merely sat down and looked at him, waiting to see what he had to say.
"Duncan, I believe that your actual problem is with the fact that we are also teaching as if you are an amateur or a kid, isn't that right?"
"Yeah, but that's not the whole thing..." Duncan's eyes swept the room with a frown, he felt like someone was observing him. "There is a problem with how that Aizawa conducted his first class which I think is stupid."
"Why don't you tell me then?"
"Very well..."
For the next 5 minutes, Duncan explained all his problems with how Aizawa did everything, how he forgot to criticize most of the students, how a couple of them had quirks even worse than Izuku itself, besides many other things, even more so considering he truly meant he was going to expel people, but changed his mind after seeing that the guy who somehow managed to get the worst results learned something with his words.
To simplify, he didn't want to be a student and thought Aizawa had a screw loose.
After all that he said, he expected Nezu to criticize him or something similar, but he didn't expect to see him smiling.
"Wonderful!" Said Nezu.
All Might and Duncan looked at him with a confused gaze, in their minds there was only one word. 'What?'
"Then, since you have such views I believe you're qualified to assume the position of teacher assistant consultant, for the next three years, as it is said by the law, you Duncan Endrik will spend three years in a hero course... but... not as a student."
"WHAT!?" They couldn't understand, what the hell was that position and what did he mean?
"You heard that right, there is a breach in the law, it only said he had to spend three years in a hero course, it never said he had to be a student, so from now on, Duncan, you will accompany class 1-A till their graduations as their teacher assistant consultant." Seeing his confusion, he smiled once more and gave him a little book with no more than 60 pages. "Don't worry, I'm pretty sure you will do well during your time as our first bounty hunter teacher, oh, and since that is now the case... All Might."
Hearing his hero name, Toshinori, gasped, could it be that he was being serious? "Oy, oy! You are serious about this!? He... He is a teacher now?"
"Mm." Nezu nodded. "This is the best option not only for the school and our students but for him as well, isn't that right, Duncan?"
"Eh... Yeah..." Duncan was astonished after hearing his words, this was way out of what he was expecting.
"Then..." All Might turned to look at Duncan, and then his well-built body suddenly started emitting smoke as he slowly shrunk.
Seeing this, Duncan's eyes almost popped out of their sockets, just what the hell was going on today? First, he becomes a teacher, then All Might becomes a skinny guy you could even mistake for a monster of some sort of movie!
"What the..."
"Duncan, this is my real form..."
