MHA:Broken God

My name is Midas Maximus, one of the world's best Aeronautical Engineers working under the GNA, Global Nations Alliance.

In the year 1516, Earth was nearing its end due to the sudden population explosion and environmental hazards so the USA, France, Germany, Russia and China decided to set aside their differences and create an alliance to prevent the inevitable destruction of the blue planet soon the other countries realised the danger and joined the alliance and it was named the Global Nations Alliance.

14 years later in the year 1530 all the efforts by the GNA only worked to delay the destruction of the planet so they decided to push forward the plans of colonising the Moon and Mars so they employed the world's top scientists and engineers to build spaceships capable of carrying the parts of the habitats to be built on the lunar and Martian surface.

5 years later the spaceships were completed they had enough space to Carry the habitat and a small group of engineers and land them safely on the surface of the planet.

Three months later on the day of the launch the 3 spaceships built by Russia, China and the USA respectively were launched from the three countries as the world looked on.The 5 year old me was there at Kennedy Space Center cheering for the brave astronauts venturing into the unknown for our survival but hope is difficult to build and easy to destroy.

3 years later when 10% of mars was successfully made into a safe haven the richest people from earth were allowed to move to mars, luckily my father, Noah Maximus was an influential figure in the government so our family was allowed to migrate to the red planet.

As our space shuttle landed i couldn't help but Marvel at this feat of engineering, the habitat was a giant transparent dome easily capable of housing a large city.As we were waiting in line for the inspection my eyes wandered all over the barren Martian wasteland and wondered how that barren land could be converted to the rich and fertile land inside the dome.Soon our number came and we presented our papers to the guard and were allowed entry.We rushed to our assigned villa and I went to sleep as soon my head but the bed

8 years later I was attending the Martian Aeronautical engineering Institute where we were being explained the history of Earth and the GNA, I found it boring as I had already memorised it all so I daydreamed looking outside the window the sight was worth the expensive fees of the institute, it gave a bird's eye view of the whole habitat, in the previous 8 years humans were able to further colonise Mars and build bigger habitats as well as many others facilities such as restaurant, cafes, schools, offices, workshops and factories, overall Mars was looking more and more like pre-apocalyptic Earth, speaking of Earth in the previous years it's situation worsened without the government actively trying to prevent it and the poorer half of the population which couldn't afford to migrate to Mars or the Moon were left to rot on Earth which led to many protests, even some protests could be seen on Mars but they were quickly neutralised by the police.

2 years later I graduated from the Martian Aeronautical engineering Institute with perfect grades and and got a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering.My ultimate goal was to become an aeronautical engineer with a master's degree in both aeronautical engineering and mechanical engineering.

5 years later and I finally have a master's degree in aeronautical engineering as well as mechanical engineering now all that's left is to apply to be an aeronautical engineer under the government so that I can fullfill my dreams of building spaceships.

Mars is uninhabitable.4 years after I applied to be an aeronautical engineer the scientists exploring Mars made a discovery that hundreds of ancient volcanoes on Mars will become active again in a few years and once they erupt it will increase the overall Temperature of the atmosphere by a few hundred degrees well above the temperature the habitat can handle and the volcanoes will release toxic gas into the atmosphere turning the planet into a boiling gas chamber hence all the top scientists and engineers were tasked with creating a spaceship capable of travelling extremely long distances and carry 10% of the human population's top elites

to a recently discovered planet which is similar to earth the V-22KC and I was assigned as the head engineer of the project.

As I was walking through one of the dimly lit hallways of the underground workshop where the biggest spaceship till date was being built I could hear sounds of protests coming from above, apparently information about the spaceship was leaked, that as well as the fact that only 10% of the top elites would be able to ride on it causes mass protests from the remaining 90% of the population some of them even turned aggressive and the police has to open fire causing some deaths which further enraged the masses.As i was walking through the hallway looking through the folder containing the progress report for the spaceship I heard a sound behind me and noticed the guards assigned to me had disappeared I began to grow cautious as I slowly took out my plasma pistol from my back pocket which I kept for some security as it wasn't uncommon for some of the top executives to be assassinated especially with the current situation of civil war. Soon 4 men with plasma rifles walked out of the hallway and blocked my exits from the front and the back.

I calmly looked at the 4 their rifles were aimed at me and their faces were covered by black tactical helmets, they wore tactical Armor only reserved for the army, it looks like they are terrorists, quite experienced ones at that.

One of them who i assumed to be the leader ordered in a distorted voice"Hand over the file and we will let you live"

"Like hell you will"I retorted

He just laughed and said"Yeah you are right, now die" as they open fired I tried to take at least one down with me but my shot was just blocked by his Armor as I fell to the ground in a puddle of my own blood as the darkness closed in on me.

Chapter 1 done hope you guys liked it I will try to upload as much as I can but don't hope for much.

I am quite new to this so if you find any spelling mistakes or plot holes then feel free to point them out I will try me best to correct them or explain it.
