Blood Contract {II– Netero}

The Garrion at first wanted to through a tantrum and make Jayden drop his decision of proposing a Blood Contract, but being unable to see Jayden's face, it was almost impossible to make any valuable threats, because if he couldn't see his expression, he wouldn't know if it was working or if he might just have shot himself on the foot.

A Blood Contract was a medium used by two or multiple parties to make deals with themselves, and if a party was to go back on their words and try to break it, they will be subjected to internal torture by their own blood, before being killed off with their blood exploding. Truly a terrible fate for any normal person. This made the users of Blood Contracts stay true to their sides of the deal.

"Ok, I'll sign the blood contract. But I will be free after some years of service." The Garrion said unwilling, he had made a big mistake by doing what he had done to Jayden, he touched Jayden without his permission with his dangly thin tentacles, and he had been caught red handed, but what he didn't understand was how this human was able to break out of the illusion field that his race had spent years creating.

He didn't let those thoughts linger in his mind for long, he had to deal with Jayden first.

"Of course, just a few years will be enough. But do know, that it will be more like a Partnering Contract than a Master-Slave Contract. I have no interest in owning slaves."

The Garrion smiled at this, at least it was just for a while, he will have the time and money to heal his sister and he will be able to ask for assistance from the human.

A Partnering Blood Contract was two ways, if a party needed help, the other parties were required to do their best to help the party in need. Whereas, a Master-Slave Contract was one sided, the slave was to fulfill all the masters orders without fail, if not, they will be punished by the contract but not outright killed unless ordered by the master. This contract wasn't that brutal though, if it was impossible for the slave to carry out an order like 'Bring me the moon' or 'Kill the sun' they wouldn't be harmed after they at least try.

Jayden under the assistance of Nahshon had come up with the idea, he used the information willingly given to him by the inexperienced Garrion, combined with the Garrions misconduct, he had found a way to narrow down his search for the material needed for Nate's possible healing.

Jayden pierced his finger tip with a sharp needed created from the Rogue Suit, then he opened a little part to let that finger out.

The Garrion with the help of a machine had pricked one of its tentacles, Jayden made sure to monitor his movements to prevent him from trying anything shitty, Jayden didn't hold back in his threats as he had even manifested the cannon form of the Rogue Suit and lighted it up with Energy Blast.

The Garrion shuddered at the insane amount of energy that he felt, all his tentacles stood straight before relaxing back.

They both placed the bloody tentacle and finger together, making their blood connect, then mouthing some incantations, their bloody tentacle and finger lighted up for a moment, they both stated their end of their partnership, after that, they felt a tremor run through their bodies before their wounds surprisingly closed up and the blood on them vanished.

Jayden smiled and they both suddenly spoke at the same time, Jayden with his stoic voice, and the Garrion with desperation.

"Where can I find this list of poisons."

"I need your help to cure my sister."

They both stared in silence for a moment, before Jayden replied.

"Let's deal with this stuff after, do what you have to first."

The Garrion snapped out of his stare before jumping into action.

"I don't have to do much, I just have to collect your information and give you your Participation Token, without it, you have to forget entering the game."

A round blue metallic plate was given to Jayden, he scanned it briefly before a notification popped up.

[1x Interstellar Tournament Participation Token]

Jayden didn't waste too much time on it and stored it in the Void Space.

Seeing the sudden the crack in space, the Garrion yelped in fright before staggering back. At least what looked like a stagger.

Jayden concluded his deal with Mr. Netero, the eleven year old Garrion.

Yes, eleven years old. Jayden couldn't say that he wasn't shocked by the revelation, he thought that the Garrion was simply an oddball, but it was just the young age of the Garrion that made him slip up multiple times, he could have even turned the situation in his favor if he was smart, but he ended up in this situation.

Jayden further questioned the young lad how he even got that kind of job at such a young age. Netero again shocked him by revealing.

"Its a normal thing for our race, that's how we are still one of the best races out there in the universe, we aren't born talented, but we are trained from a young age to prepare us for what we would face when we gain empires of our own." Netero puffed out his chest with pride.

"We start up businesses of our own at the age of ten, and by the time we are able to handle the business and turn it into a well known place with devoted customers, we are eligible to work in high tier business organizations." At the mention of that, Netero's mood plummeted.

"I failed in my business, so I was given this shit job of handing out tokens and collecting the contestants information." His mood further dropped."Even at that, I still failed."

Jayden was touched by that, but he banished that emotion out of his mind and replied

"One setback isn't enough to make you stop trying hard, it's just another stepping stone in your career, and it has just shown you what to not do again."

"With time, you'll get better." Jayden spoke with such confidence that he was feeling like the wisest man in the universe. Alas...

[Snap out of it]

Jayden frowned at Nahshon's intervention.

Netero in his own world, was having stars in his eyes, he was filled with resolve and a new motivation to continue striving.

He was grateful to Jayden and thanked him happily. Jayden left the room and returned back to his room stealthily.

He was going to sleep throughout the night to prepare himself mentally for the fight tomorrow.

The same thing was happening everywhere, the ten races were preparing their combatants for the tournament.

The tournament they had all been waitng for.
