Chapter 2: We’re A’ Rollin’

Doing my first ten pull I watch as the orb begins to spin faster. Blacked out images start to flash by giving me no more information other than they are male, female, non humanoid, or some sort of object. And even then such descriptions don't feel like they fit for some of the images.

It settles a purple color in its center instead of an image. It starts to shine, as if the Gacha itself is waiting in anticipation. Excited to see my reaction to the rewards I have gotten.

So without hesitation I tap the orb and it pops revealing my first item.

{ctOS: Watchdogs

…That is good, will it be able to hack the bat-computer or the fortress of solitude? I have no idea but it should be good enough for more simple things. At least until I upgrade it, if I ever get the chance.

Especially gaining the attention of "her" due to the death imbued in the stick. Hell just mentioning "her" in this way has probably gotten her attention. If my general existence hasn't already. Afterall "her" and "her" family are essentially nigh-omnipotent.

Though I guess "she" isn't that bad compared to others. So meeting "her" won't be too bad unless my transmigration somehow tarnishes "her" domain, which I doubt. But hey! It's best to be pessimistic when dealing with primordial forces of reality like "her".

Sighing I swipe and fall onto my bed before pulling my next ten orbs.

America Baby Fuck Yeah! Oh god I have never loved America so much! Captain America is what you could consider a top-tier street level hero. Who by the way was comparable to Batman himself. Of course Cap is more skilled than I am, but… I can be stronger than him.

I summon my first ever item, The Item Upgrade Card. Tearing the card I get the option to upgrade one of the many items that I have. I scoff at the possibility of upgrading my wooden spear or hair pin. Before upgrading the serum.

The torn card dissipates into motes of rainbow lights. Getting absorbed by the SSS Orb, I watch as it spins for a moment before stopping and releasing fireworks. Blinking, I tap the orb again, gasping at just how it upgraded.

{The Perfected SSS:

If you thought the last serum was amazing this one is just icing on the cake. All of the kinks within the serum have been taken out, not that they would have been an issue for you in the slightest. And all of the positive effects are amplified, right down to the spiritual level.

I bite my lip, finding myself more than tempted to save it for when I get a couple more Item Upgrade Cards. But, I need this, to at least insure some level of safety. Even if I could upgrade into the sentry serum, that would simply take too long. And by then who knows what would have happened.

"Okay I can do this" I summon the Perfected SSS and take a deep breath as I look at the glowing blue liquid. Before chugging it down, unlike the Gacha this tasted bad. Making me gag and want to spit it out. But by some unfounded force of will I manage to not only continue drinking, but also stop my gagging.

It felt like hours before I actually finished drinking. But as soon as the last drop enters my stomach. I felt it, a new change far more intense than before. My eyes widen as I feel a heat rush throughout my body.

It wasn't painful like I thought it would, it felt good, really good. I release a breath feeling how the air escapes my lungs. I take a deep breath feeling how the cool air floods my lungs.

I see the world in a new light, it's hard to describe. But it's like I have been living my entire life on 360k and suddenly turned to 1080k. The difference is like night and day, heaven and earth.

I clench my hand into a fist, crushing the container into shards. The glass is unable to penetrate my skin as I grind it into dust. I stand up feeling a sense of control and ease in my actions.

*Buzz*

'Hm?' I turn to a fly, finding that it is frozen in the air. Even its wings are frozen, aren't those things supposed to flap super fast? Yet here it is, frozen, it's every hair, leg, and eye visible to me.

I summon my hair pin and toss it at the bug. Nailing it right in the head and sending the pin into the wall. The body falls down onto the ground life less, if only twitching as it dies.

I suddenly jump up, spinning in the air and landing feet first on the roof. Before I bounce off it towards the wall, then I bounce off the wall. I continue to do this, feeling a sense of freedom and excitement as I try to exhaust myself. Only discovering that I can't get tired! I feel so good, clean, and… better! Simply better!

I fall back on to my bed, a large smile on my face. My smile falls off when I smell something… not necessarily bad, but most definitely unpleasant. Footsteps accompany this smell along with… stifled sobbing. Elise? Why is she sad? And why is she…

No… No!… No! No! No! No! No! No! No!

I get up and rush towards the door, grasping the handle with a grip that nearly tore it off. I open the door, my gaze meeting red eyes desperately trying not to cry. And a face so morphed with grief that it's heart wrenching to even look at her face. Please tell me she's going through a break up again, that she's drunk off her ass again, that she is reminiscing about her old days again.

"Evelyn, y-your parents… there gone"
