Su Jian lay in his arms with a crestfallen face, looking very dejected.
Zhou Lu held her tightly with a mix of distress and guilt, blaming himself, "It's my fault. I shouldn't have treated you like that. I promise it will never happen again."
Su Jian asked blankly, "What if I can never overcome this barrier?"
His chin pressed firmly against her head, his gaze incredibly resolute, "That won't happen."
Su Jian seemed to have completely lost hope, "Will you go find other women then?"
Zhou Lu frowned slightly, his tone displeased, "What nonsense."
She buried her face deep in his chest, "If you really can't help but find other women, I won't blame you. But you cannot deceive me. Just tell me if you have someone else, and I'll make room for you immediately."
He scowled, "Stop talking nonsense, or I'll get angry."
Su Jian looked up at him and obediently said, "I'll stop."
