The next day, Zhou Lu woke from his sleep and instinctively reached out to touch the bed but couldn't find Su Jian after a long while.
He got straight out of bed to look for her and sure enough, saw Su Jian bustling about in the kitchen, his expression suddenly softening.
"Why are you up so early?" he walked over and hugged her from behind.
Su Jian loved to sleep in when she could rest, often sleeping until noon and skipping breakfast.
In the days she had been with Zhou Lu, he would forcefully drag her out of bed to have breakfast and then insist on going jogging together to exercise.
At first, Su Jian cooperated with him, but later she simply gave up, refusing to get up no matter how much Zhou Lu pulled at her, until eventually, Zhou Lu had no choice but to bring breakfast to the bedroom to eat with her.
Su Jian was startled by him, and said softly, "Didn't you see I'm cooking chicken porridge for you?"
