Zhou Lu unbuttoned a few buttons and gave her a gloomy glance, grumpily said, "I'm climbing through the window because of whom?"
He had never done such demeaning things that were beneath his dignity in his life.
Su Jian was speechless. "I didn't ask you to climb through the window. Didn't I tell you not to come over?"
Zhou Lu gave a half-smile, "If I hadn't come, would you two have continued your little world just for two?"
It was very late, and Su Jian didn't want to argue with him to avoid disturbing others' rest, especially since a young couple was staying next door.
"Forget it, you are already here, just make do with the floor tonight."
She couldn't let him drive back so late at night; if the guesthouse hadn't been full, she would have booked another room for him.
Su Jian got out of bed to prepare a padded quilt on the floor for Zhou Lu to sleep on—her memory foam mattress would suffice for her.
Zhou Lu, however, stopped her, "No need to trouble yourself."
