Chapter 32: Happy Birthday

The next day I woke up very early since today is an important day in my life and career, from the world of dreams to find next to my head a paper that reminded me of that stupid god, but this isn't the interesting thing, its the dagger that was next to the paper.

It actualy is my sacred treasure Lostvayne, this is the sword that will bring out my full potential to the maximum, and allow me to reach the next levels.

I carefully and slowly opened the paper to read it's content. 'Yo its your favorite God, Uncrucified Jesus. I see that you are doing well for now and having a lot of fun, im happy for you! But you will need your weapon for the next events, so here it is make good use of it and to the next time'

"For the next events huh..." I muttered under my breath.

"It is true that I will need it but since god himself said it to me then I might need to get a little bit more serious." I said burning tte paper using hell blaze.

I got from my bed to wash my face and wash Amaya too, as she got on my shoulders wrapping her body around my stomach and chest, then I exited my room to find Arthur with his dragon pet on his head as usual making his way downstairs.

"Yo Art, did you sleep well?" I greeted him while walking together in the hall.

"Yeah, I was pretty tired from our training yesterday, after washing up I went directly to sleep. What about you?"

"Same here..." after a long sight I asked him. "Did you find a good sword from the auction house?"

"Yeah out of all the trash I accidently found a very good one." He said putting his hands behind his head.

"Good for you! Me too I..." We were on the stairs as we heard everyone in the house scream, not letting me even finish my sentence.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELIODAS AND ARTHUR!" everyone cried out in unison.

The whole Helstea house was decorated lavishly with festive ornaments and woven threads as the Twin Horns and the Helstea family as well as my own gathered together to congratulate our ninth birthday.

"Thank you all for bearing with me!" Arthur gave a deep bow as Sylvie mimicked him, nodding her small head.

"Shishishi, thank you everyone!" I scrached the back my messy hair, while Amaya was just lazy and taking a nap on my shoulder.

The dinner turned out amazing as the chefs went all out tonight. My mother made sure to include some of my favorite dishes, some of which she made herself.

I was drinking juice happily when suddently I felt a hand on my shoulder out of nowhere, I turned my head to see the kid I helped that day with the stupid noble brats.

"H-hey Meliodas, happy birthday."

"Oh it's you Ash! Wait... how did you know where I live?" I was confused, I only met him one time and he already know's where I live.

"Well, after helping me that day I saw you with the Helstea family, so I knew you are living with them. Y-you don't mind me being here right?" He asked hesitantly with a semi-worried expression.

"Of course, I told you the other day not to let people look down on you right? Once a wise old man said 'They laugh at me because im different, but I laugh at them because they are all the same.' I lied closing my eyes and acting like an old man with knee lengh beard, it was the joker who said it.

"I-I see, let me thank you again for helping me that day" He replied.

"It's okay man, here drink some of this" I gave him a glass full of juice.

Then it was Lucy who joined us, wearing the dress I bought for her the day of the auction.

"Happy b-birthday Meliodas, im sorry I dont have a present for you while you bought me this beautiful dress." She was a bit ashamed.

Most of her life she was a slave so she dont have the money to buy me a present, and she dosen't even know about my birthday so it's okay. "Haha, dont worry Lucy, maybe next time you will suprise me." I patted her head softly.

"Hoho, what do we have here huh? Looks like my son is a hearts killer." My father teased me walking towards us with mom next to him.

"Why dont you present your friends to us Mel?" Mom said with a proud smile.

"Sure! This right here is my friend Ash, I met him one time when we got out to shopping. And she's my friend too her name is Lucy and I met her at a blacksmith's shop..." Turning toward my friends behind me I continued. "Lucy and Ash, these are my parents." I pointed with my hand.

"Nice to meet you uncle and untie." Ash bowed his head slightly.

"H-happy to meet you mom and dad, please take care of me." She slightly bowed.

"Ohhhh! She called me mom!" Mom jumped on her rubbing her cheeks on hers. "You better take care of this little angel Meliodas!" She shouted.

Father just pulled me by putting his arm on my shoulder and asked next to my ear. "You small monster, I see that you made your move from this age huh? I knew you were talented but I thought it was only at fighting."

I turned my head towards his ear and said. "Hehehe, just wait until you see the other one, your son got the heart of the Elven princess." I laughted proudly.

My father almost had a heart attack, as he placed his hand on his chest to make sure his heart is still beating. "W-what! You got two...! And a princess at that." He breathed heavily then continued.

"Okay, I admit that today you surpassed your old man Meliodas, in many things." I could see a tear slide down his poker face as he turned to go next to mom again.

After my mom calmed down she spoke. "Yare, yare... Sometimes I just hope if Arthur was like you so that he makes friends too."

"Please never say that to Arthur, its the sentence that hurts siblings the most." I said with a indifferent expression scraching my head.

"Okay honey, then have fun everyone and please take good care of Meliodas for me." Mom said.

"Of course!" x2 Both Lucy and Ash replied enthousiastically.

A panorama of noise filled the halls, laughter of the kids, the clinking of wine glasses and busy footsteps of maids and butlers. The table was pleasantly loud as Adam belched loud jokes and made fun of some of the members with their embarrassing moments while exploring the dungeon.

"Adam, you seem to forget the time when a horned mole snuck up under you while you were taking a piss in the dungeon. As I recall, you got so scared, you landed straight on your back, peeing on yourself like a fountain," Jasmine coolly said as she casually continued sipping her tea, not even bothering to look at the petrified Adam.

"Pfft!" The food in my mouth sprayed out as I tried to contain my laughter. My father blatantly roared with laughter, nearly falling back in his chair as he pointed his finger at the frozen Adam. Even Vincent had his face buried in his hands as he tried to keep from laughing. And Arthur was having the best day of his life.

"No! Y-You! I thought n-no one was awake when that happened?!" Adam's face turned ghostly pale and his shoulders slumped in utter defeat. Meanwhile, the women just shook their heads in embarrassment at the men's behaviors.

"Also dont forget the day you tried to showoff on us and I knocked you out, while I was only 4 years old!" Everyone on the table, even the females started laughting uncontrolably recalling that day, even Ash and Lucy who werent there.

All Adam could do now is to simply sit back on his chair and swallow his food alongside his pride as a man and a fighter, while everyone laughted on his ass.

All in all, everyone was having a great time. Ellie chimed in eager to tell all of us about her adventures in learning how to read and write, trying to be a part of the grown-up conversations as well, while Lilia just giggled and agreed.

After dinner, everyone migrated to the living room where the fire had just been lit and area filled with a smoky fragrance. The presents time finally came, but before that I had a conversation with Ash, Lucy was a part of it too.
