Chapter 14: Life in a castle

"Listen to me Meliodas, just like what I said to your brother, I know that you have beast will inside you." The old man picked his royal robe from the ground.

"Beast will? What are you talking about?" I asked him leaning my head to the side.

"So you dont know huh? Alright I will explain. Mana beasts are classed between E class and SS class, but those who are categorized as class A or higher have the ability to pass their will or inherent ability either to their offspring or a person they're bound to." He patter the dust out of the robe and put it on as he continued.

"I wont ask you to explain how you stumbled upon such a powerful beast but as it is now it will do you more harm than any good. And you probably experienced pain because of it already."

I nodded my head carefuly listening to his explanations. "I would love to stay... But my family is..."

He cuted me half through my speech. "I know how important to you is to go back to your family but your situation will become very dangerous, if not controled soon the power will destroy you completely from the inside out." He then continued.

"Of course, for your family, I will try to find a solution. So, what do you say?" The old man crossed his arms under of his chest with a smile.

I looked at Art to know what to do since I was really confused. "Art what should we do? Im completely lost right now."

"I already decided to stay, our situation is serious so we must treat it as soon as possible." He shared his thoughts.

"I see... In that case im staying too!" I annouced then continued by adressing Arthur. "It looks like we both accepted his offer huh?"

"You made your choice, to be honest I wasn't going to accept at first but the Virion told me that there is a way to contact our parents from here" He replied.

"Really? Why didn't you say so from the beginning old bat! If its the case then it change things." I shouted at him.

"Exactly brat, you will talk to them tomorrow, for now just go and rest or do whatever you want. You just arrived from a long journey so we will start training from after tomorow. Get ready and don't expect it to be easy, you will be living in hell for the next years." He calmy replied with his hands behind his back

"Okay grandpa." Replied Arthur.

"All right old man" I responded with an OK sign on my hand.

If Virion was calm and composed five seconds before, he litterly snapped now with a lot of veins popping out of his head and face.

"OI brats, you should be more enthusiastic than that, do you even know how many people pleaded me, the great Virion just to teach them and make them my disciples, from rich to poor, from young to old. But do you know how many I've taken in so far?" He asked himself as he replied.

"None! These new generation brats bore me. Just because some of the wealthy noble brat's parents thought their kid was special, they thought they were qualified to ask me to be their mentor"*Sight* seriously kids these days" He left with a pout.

"Haha It looks like we touched a sensible nerve on the old man." I joked.

"Yeah I didn't expect him to react that way haha." Laughed Arthur.

After this conversation me and Art went to sleep each in his room only to be woken up by my new friend.

"Good morning Mel! Wake up!"

I opened my eyes and see that my burdens have taken the form of a lovely young lady.

"Come on sleepyhead! You need to meet grandpa soon! H-hey! Don't go back to sleep!" She bounced up and down, still straddled on top of me.

'Does she not know how indecent this may look to others?' I thought to myself.

"I get it! I'm up, Elizabeth! Please get down from my stomach so I can get up," I groaned, still half asleep.

"Hehe~ Mel, your hair looks funny. Hey hey, is it true you're going to be staying here for a while? Grandpa told me this morning! I'm so happy! You're really staying, right? Right?" Elizabeth exclaimed with a wide smile pasted on her cute face while getting down from me.

"Yeah after talking with your grandpa me and Arthur decided to stay here for a while. He will make us talk to our parents and help us train to become stronger." I replied rubbing my still sleepy eyes.

"Yaay we are gonna have so much fun Meliodas! What do you say about visiting the City huh?" She lifted both her arms in excitement

"You know im not staying just to have fun right? And sure, let's visit it today with Arthur and Tess. Tommorow we will start our training so I won't be able to go out with you at that time." I told her.

"Hehe okay." She smiled leaning forward with her hands behind her back.

"All right! I have to shower now and get ready, so unless you want to see me naked, I think you should leave the room, Elizabeth." I waggled my eyebrows lewdly and spoke indifferently.

"M-Meliodas!" I could see her ears turn scarlet as she scurried out of the room.

I didn't think that'd work so well. My four-year-old body hasn't even matured any of its "manly parts" anyhow.

I just shrugged and hopped into the hot shower to get ready.
