Chapter 124_ Introduction of the Magical Society

I was dumbfounded and my whole body felt heavy at all the eyes that settled on me when annoying jerk pulled me onto his lap. I shifted and made to dash up but he had his hands on me pinning me down to his lap, securing and preventing me from standing up.

"What are you doing?!" I stuttered. " Let go of me!" I hollered but making sure to keep my voice low in order to avoid further attention to us.

" What am I doing?" He smirked. " Helping your tiny legs so that they wouldn't hurt from too much standing," he said. I knew he was enjoying toying with me as the teasing in his voice was evident.

I wanted to protest again when I felt a hand on my shoulder from behind. I turned immediately and saw that it was Devarn.

" Come Medusa, we have reserved a seat for you" he stated while a deep frown settled on his face.

My joy knew no bounds when I saw Devarn. If he hadn't come, I thought I might have gotten frozen with shame.
