>Chapter 31<

A cold, early morning breeze whistled quietly in the training ground as the sun shone down on the bodies of our five boys, who were lying on the ground, covered in sweat and breathing heavily, while albert just looked down on them from his original position, not looking tired at all.

This is the second day of their magic control training. They actually had two more sessions of this type of training yesterday. One was after lunch and the other after dinner. Overall, it would be the fifth day since they had appeared in this world and four days until the academy begins.

Even though four days isn't that long an amount of time at all, for the boys, it feels like an eternity. Why? Well, they have been training only for like four minutes, changing the shape of their elemental particles. Now, four minutes also may not seem like a long time, but in this case, everything is about the mind. They have to concentrate really hard to change the shape and it takes a lot of patience and magic particles, since they are using it very inefficiently.

The problem is, no matter how much they ask, Albert would never tell them the correct way to do it. The boys are actually starting to second guess themselves about their decision of attending the academy.

Currently, the boys were trying to guess the correct way to control their magic particles. Since they won't get answers, they had to search for them by themselves. So, they decided to o ta library.

This was a castle, so there has to be a library, right? They thought

With the intention of asking a question, the boys started to calm their heavy breaths. They just continued to lie on the ground for almost five minutes before getting up with shaking legs. Meanwhile, Albert just calmly looked on, at their struggling, poor selves.

"You may go and get some rest. We will see each other after you've had your lunch."

Ah he was about to turn around and walk to Caedis's side, one of the boys called out to him.

"Is there a library in this castle?"

Albert stopped for a brief moment and threw a piece of paper at them. They didn't know how, but the paper was oddly sharp, so it sliced through the air and inserted itself into the ground, right in front of the boys' feet. It made them flinch, since they almost didn't see that small movement. Fortunately for them, he was not trying to attack them.

Phillip picked up the piece of paper and unrolled it. There were about thirty different characters, with some of them smaller and bigger than the others. They looked at it with confusion, since they didn't know their language, how were they supposed to read what's written here. Suddenly, it hit them. If they didn't know how to read, how were they going to find out how to properly control their magic particles?

The boys really wanted to face palm right now. They were so focused on doing one thing that they had forgotten to do the other important things.

Their thoughts were interrupted, when they heard a voice speaking to them.

"Instead of magic practice, you will be learning or language in the evening. I will see you in the large guestroom." He said before he left for good now.

The boys stood there for a few second before scurrying back to their rooms. Rest was a luxury for them now, so they wanted to enjoy it as much as they could. And so, they rested, and now it was time for their language lesson to start.

They came into the large guestroom. They knew where it was because it was actually the room next to the one they were sleeping in the first time they got here.

Opening the door, they saw Albert already sitting on the couch opposite to them, not paying them any attention. Only when they sat down did he finally seem to notice them and started talking. What followed after this was a long lesson of learning.

Apparently, it was called the Discessus language. It was named after their capital city. They also got to know that the other countries on this continent all have their own language. But there is also a universal language that is known by all, to make it easier for travelers and merchants to do their job. This one was known as the Concussa language, also named after the continent. Meaning the continent they were on right now was called the Continent of Concussa, obviously.

The boys were confused while learning. The things that got absorbed into their head were much bigger in volume than what it normally was. Their memory and overall learning capability increased several fold. They asked about this and were told that it was the magic particles affecting the functions of their brain positively.

The group was bewildered. At first, they were stressed out about not being able to talk in school and understand what people are saying, but it looks like all their worries were for naught. The speed they were learning at was incredible. At this rate, they were going to be able to have a proper conversation with the local people at the end of the week, right before the academy starts.

After the lesson ended, they all went straight to bed. They had never felt like this before. Right now they just wanted to sleep forever, never to wake up again. And they slept like never before. Both mentally and physically exhausted.

But they were slowly starting to feel the results of their training even though it has only been like 4 sessions. They no longer fell unconscious. Albert told them that they were knocked out because they didn't know their limit and pushed themselves over the limit. But now that their control has gotten better, they can also control their overall output.

Sometimes, they wondered why Albert hadn't told them about that before they actually did the thing. But they no longer cared, as the darkness crept upon them and they slowly entered the dreamland…
