Invasion of the South

As he study, he notice a problem. The growing power south of Dietrich is planning to invade them.

What's worse is that the one he stalk is the most vulnerable to their attack. Thus, he immediately prepare for departure.

Unfortunately, once he arrive, the only things left is the corpse and bloodied ground of the village. His mood drop and even gave up.

However, his drone told him that there's a heat signature within these houses. His face improve, his smile was even as high as a mountain from his face.

He didn't think twice and instantly head towards the said house. There, he saw the mother of his target which sadden him.

He gave his respect first before heading to his room where the suppose target of his hides. He was told that the person hides within the walls.

Of course, because of his drone's help, he was able to detect the target immediately. He open it with force and immediately turn his expression to the sad one.

The ones healthy and full of joy person now left with nothing but skinny and low energy girl. He smile, he felt happy seeing his target but with a hint of sadness.

"What have they done to you." He said, with a hint of anger and regret from his voice.

The girl look at her with terror, but due to lack of energy, it simply look like a person trying to give up. He slowly approach the girl and carry her.

'She's too light.' Still felt a little sad, he thought.

"You're okay now, don't worry, just rest." Seeing the restless movement of the girl, he can't help but reassure her.

He slowly move towards outside. When they step out from her parent's room, a corpse of a woman reveal.

It was messy, naked, and full of beaten marks. He was disgusted, not to the mother of his target but to the person who did such thing.

He truly regret his slow movement, if only he came early such thing wouldn't have happen.

Yet there's a also a thought within his mind that relief him. He's glad that he came late, if not, the people of this era would surely witness the true power of the rumored ancient civilization.

If such thing happen, the world order will change.

He shake his head trying to remove such thought from his mind. Then head off outside leaving the rotting body of the mother who once adore her daughter.

Once they step outside, his aircraft reveal itself as it deactivated its camouflage state. He enter, and despite taking his seat, didn't let go of his target.

Within the King's office of Dietrich Kingdom, a bunch of people converse to each other. Some wear hyped while some are visibly scared from the recent event.

The neighboring country just attempted an invasion and successfully apprehended the southern province of Frel.

The king was at his seat, with a face of disappointment and anger. Disappointed because of the recent betrayal, and anger due to the unannounced war declaration.

It's been three days since the attack and according to the scouts, the enemy purge every village they see. Because of that, most refugee starts to ascend from the south mostly coming from villages.

"Perhaps, we should counterattack. We have enough prowess to retrieve the invaded lands and even defend it!"

"Fool, remember that even the northern and Eastern kingdom has its eye to our borders, if we even reveal a small amount of weakness, they will surely make their move! We can't send more troops from the rest of the borders!"

"You fools!"

"That's right!"

A number of royal staff argue to each other as they tried to comprehend the situation they are in.

Truly, their power is enough to counterattack the invading force and even retaliating by invading some of their lands. But if the do such thing they will surely be left surrounded by enemies.
