After checking in with the receptionist, Gamma Rhett and I were led to our room. To my surprise, it was not just spacious but had two beds in two corners of the room.
I turned to Rhett, studying his facial expression closely. He didn't seem surprised, meaning he was well aware of this arrangement. I'd been half expecting him to take advantage of the fact that we'd share a bed to make a move on me, but it seemed Gamma Rhett was more of a gentleman than I gave him credit for.
"So..." Rhett took off his coat, hanging it on a clothes rack mounted on the wall. "Do you want to sit down or are you going to keep scrutinizing the room like you're on the lookout for hidden cameras?"
My face flushed with embarrassment as Rhett sat comfortably on a bed, smiling with amusement. He suddenly burst into a fit of laughter, taking me by surprise. It was rare to see him laugh so cheerfully, and it felt even more special since we were both alone right now.
