The Lavender sat on a chair in the room and watched as Ava ate her food.

"So have you talked to Jayden?" she asked Lavender.

"Yes, we were together throughout last night." Lavender said with a smirk.

"From that satisfied grin on your face, I doubt either of you had much sleep last night." Ava said with a mischievous smirk.

"You definitely know it." Lavender replied with a triumphant style.

"What was so urgent that Ryder had to leave anyway?" Ava asked curiously.

"The sentries found something strange last night."

"What did they find?" Ava asked.

"They found a dead deer, it looked like all the blood in its body had been drained out. It's very strange, I wonder what caused it." Lavender told her.

Ava's face paled immediately when she heard this news.

"Ava, are you okay?" Lavender asked when he noticed that she was looking pale.

Ava quickly regained her composure.
