Infinite Cipher, First Gift

Suddenly, Bruce was sucked into his mind by some 'unstoppable' force.

Opening his eyes, he was greeted by an awe-inspiring sight.

In front of him was a large Rubik's cube.

The Rubik's cube was endlessly rotating in a sphere of void, enthralling and mystical, resembling a cosmic wonder.

Brilliant, bright sources of light danced around its edges. There were myriads of colors, each as profound and mesmerizing as the other.

As the Rubik's cube rotated, he felt like his mind reached a state of enlightenment.

There was some sort of peaceful feeling or heavenly sensation from watching the Rubik's cube rotate. It was as though it contained the truth of life.

This... Rubik's cube.

Bruce had a shocked expression. He looked at it as if it was the most priceless treasure in the world.

It was called the Infinite Cipher, a cube that contains the mystery and truth of the universe!

Its six sides contained the infinite abilities of each domain: the body, mind, spirit, nature, abstract, and temporal!

The cube transmitted information inside his brain.

Due to his weak body and foundation, he couldn't inherit the Cipher Gifts fully. If the Cipher forced it, he might explode into pieces.

To get over this issue, the Infinite Cipher decided to unseal seven random abilities for him and let him discover on his own what these abilities were.

According to the cube, as long as Bruce grew stronger, the number of skills he could have would increase, and they would no longer be unknown.

Moreover, these seven abilities were only temporary.

Each week, the Cube would take back the seven abilities and refresh them with new ones. If he wanted to keep his current gifts, he needed to understand and master them.

But with his feeble mind, how could he understand the complexity and comprehensive nature of each skill?

Each side of the Infinite Cipher contained the six universal domains that would assist him in understanding particular skills.

For example, if he acquired an skill related to space-time, he could train and master it within the temporal domain.

Bruce looked at the Rubik's cube with a wide smile.

Returning to reality, he took a deep breath and muttered "system" under his breath to check if the universe was not pulling his leg.

Then the system screen interface appeared in front of him.

While he was immersed in his excitement and happiness, a knock came from the other side of the door.

Hearing that, Bruce's mouth twitched. He turned around and opened the door. Standing before him was a man with an exaggerated face.

"... Where's the spag?"

"Tell me you weren't doing it in my bed..."

The man paused, catching Bruce's cold and humorless expression. Maybe he was just mistaked.vHe coughed awkwardly.

"Never mind, here, take the spaghetti."

Bruce looked at the plate in Comma's hand. It didn't look presentable at all, but a man who had already died twice had no room to complain.

Comma handed the plate of noodles to him. "Oh, by the way, Fredo and I were wondering... what happened with you and that girl?"

Bruce took the plate of noodles, staring directly at Comma's eyes. "I rejected her."

"You... huh? What?" Comma was stunned, his eyes widening in disbelief. "Are you saying that you rejected one of the campus belles?"

Then, the door slammed shut right before him. It was enough of an answer for Comma, leaving him in a daze.

Going back to his room, Bruce sat on the bed and leaned against the wall. He needed to find out his seven gifts before the week expired.

'How should I go about discovering the rest of them...?'

He thought carefully, remembering the details the Cipher gave him. If various skills were separated into six different domains, then he could start with one of them.

The most universal domain... the body.

He could start with the five physical aspects.

If he had any physical skills, they would likely be noticeable in a physical way.

Granted, abilities could manifest in various ways.

'By categorizing the possible skills into different domains of power, I can discover the other abilities faster...'

Bruce contemplated. He examined his own body, checking if there were any abnormal changes.

Strength? No, he didn't feel any boost in his strength.

Senses? No, he didn't have supervision or anything of the sort. Nor did he have something like a super smell.

Durability? Hmm... he doesn't feel particularly durable. Should he stab himself with a knife to try?

'...No. I don't want to die again.'

Bruce mused as he shook his head. A knife would be overkill. It was best to find a splinter or a small, and sharp object.

He stood up and took a toothpick.

Then, he pressed the toothpick to his finger, causing it to bleed. He waited for some sort of effect or prompt.

To his surprise, there was indeed a change. His wound immediately regenerated and returned to normal.

Woosh!

"My first gift... regeneration!"

Bruce's eyes brightened from the revelation. At this moment, a notification from the system appeared in front of him.
