It means that now he can take all kinds of curses, and status conditions, this is what he likes about this Hidden talent or ability, he won't be bound or anything like that by some unknown factor.

Speaking of curses he remembered his little empterror, who died due to an unknown curse that requires a suicide to kill the target and go down with the user of that skill.

He still feels sorry for what happened to his empterror and he is just trying to put his attention somewhere else or else, he will remember everything about it starting from Voltury to Volturaptor and finally to Empterror.
