Chapter 9: Master-rank Knowledge!

"Oh, Nash. It's great to see you again!" Natalie smiled as she approached Nash. "Are you also training under Master Alex?"

"Unfortunately..." Nash sighed.

"Why would you train him, Master Alex?" Shinrith scoffed. "He's an ungrateful little shit."

'He respects strength...he should be very easy to control.' Nash inspected Shinrith's behavior towards him after figuring out he was a Low-Tier.

"You should show some respect, Shinrith." Alex smiled. "This 'little shit' has Master-rank Mage knowledge."

"Excuse me?!" Shinrith glared at Nash with disgust. "He's a better Mage than ME?!"

"Cast your strongest Spell." Nash smirked.

Shinrith didn't hesitate as he immediately started casting an Advanced-rank Dragon Breath!

"Not bad." Nash smirked as his finger glowed with Mana. He touched a certain part of the runes and the entire array shattered while Shinrith spat blood.

"What the hell did you do?!" Shinrith glared at him.

"You have at least 27 runes so weak that they're almost wrong." Nash smiled. He then pulled out some piece of paper from his backpack and dipped his finger in some ink. "If you write this rune in reverse, it can help you write it more accurately and transition to next rune better, which would help with casting the next 26 runes. While it is a little unorthodox, changing things every once in a while could help in ways you simply can't understand."

Shinrith grit his teeth as he wiped his lips and tried writing the 27 runes that Nash pointed out starting with the first rune in reverse. His eyes shone when he saw how it turned out. They were almost perfect! They were way above average standard even for a Peak-Tier!!

'Who is this kid?' Shinrith looked at Nash apprehensively. He then sighed. "I'm sorry. I was out of line."

"No harm done." Nash smirked. He didn't expect him to get it from the first time. 'Seems we have a genius on our hands.'

"C-Can you help me too?" Naetir stepped forward. She was obviously nervous after seeing how superior Nash was at the Mage Class.

"Of course." Nash smiled politely. "Let me see what you want to improve."

She quickly started casting the Beginner-rank Spell called Running Gust.

"You're practically perfect!" Nash said in surprise. Her Casting Accuracy was almost 97%! Her talent is actually unbelievable. 'Her talent is way better than mine! She definitely has the potential of a Master-rank, maybe even the Grandmaster-rank!'

"I still want to improve it." Naetir said with resolve. "I can't make it to God-rank without effort."

Nash smiled with appreciation. He was responsible for training all Human Mages when they started transferring to Ashitoria. Among all the people he's trained, he almost never found hardworking talent. A lot of people were better than him when it came to talent, and he pushed some of them all the way to Grandmaster or God-rank. He even taught Igris himself the basics! While Igris's talent was top-notch, his hard work was even more frightening than his talent. If he could create a personal student at the God-rank, he could have his revenge ten times over!

"Very well." Nash chuckled lightly. His finger started glowing the same light of Mana as before. "All you should improve is your Mana control."

"Mana control?" Naetir raised an eyebrow. "But my Casting Accuracy is almost perfect, you said so yourself."

"There's a difference between Mana control and Casting Accuracy. Mana control is how much Mana is in your finger. It's almost like putting too much or too little ink on a pen or quill." Nash smiled. He used this analogy often. "Use enough Mana to create a layer about 10 millimeters thick around your finger."

"A-Alright." the 20-year-old Beast started moving her finger elegantly as the runes started to shine and vibrate. Her mind seemed to shut off as she kept writing the runes as naturally as breathing.

Nash smiled in excitement. 'A Perfect Cast!'

The runes then rushed to her legs and seemed to fuse with them. Naetir sighed as she finished. She took a deep breath as she checked her Mana. "What's going on?! More than half my Mana is gone!"

"You just preformed a Perfect Cast!" Nash said with excitement. He knew he was in the presence of true talent, a chosen one. "That Spell will now be easier to Cast than actually moving your finger. You can now Cast it with a thought."

Nash was very familiar with Perfect Casts. After all, every Master-rank Mage and above had a few low ranked Spells that they perfected to be able to instantly use, one of them being Teleport. The thing that proved Naetir's talent was the fact that she Cast a Spell that was on her rank!

"What?" Naetir ask with shock. She quickly started gathering Mana at her finger to Cast the Spell, yet the runes just suddenly appeared in front of her. She didn't even need to Chant!

The point of using Chants was to help focus on what rune someone was writing. It's like how some people sound out the word they're trying to write. That's why some Peak-Tiers don't even need to Chant, though a lot still do to help with the Casting Accuracy.

"This is amazing!" Naetir looked at the young man in front of her and bowed to him. "I will never forget this favor for the rest of my life!"

"A small spark is all you need to create a raging inferno." Nash smiled. "Just don't let your talented feats end here. Continue working hard and don't give up no matter how hard it becomes. There's always something to strive for in life. Find it and use it as fuel to reach God-rank or even higher!

"Higher than God-rank?" Naetir chuckled awkwardly. "I don't know if I'm good enough to be the first to forcibly break out of God-rank. Even God-ranks themselves have acknowledged that there's probably nothing after."

Nash merely chuckled. The world knew that Igris was the strongest in the world, but only the people at the head of powerful organizations knew how truly powerful he was. The common people thought that he was just a very powerful God-rank.

"Thank you again." Naetir smiled.

"Alright, I'm next!" Rebecca smiled. "Can you help me with this summoning Spe-"

"No." Nash quickly shut down the Dark Human.

"Why?! You hel-"

"Because I want to." Nash sneered.

Rebecca gnashed her teeth as Alex sighed. He then turned to his students. "Alright, everyone. Since you're already acquainted, let's hit up a dungeon. Remember to protect Nash at all times."

"Don't worry, Master. I'll protect him well." Leon nodded. As the Shieldmaster of the party, he was responsible for everyone's safety.

As the group walked, many of its members gave Nash weird looks. Rebecca was especially confused. 'How the hell does this Low-Tier Novice-rank Swordsman have Master-rank knowledge?'

She felt regretful as she saw the wide smiles on the party's two Mages' faces.

She approached Nash and whispered. "Is it because I'm a Dark Human?"

"I don't teach self entitled brats." Nash whispered back. He wouldn't teach her because of how proud she was. While being a Dark Human was part of it, that was the main reason.

Rebecca sighed. "I'm sorry."

Nash said nothing as he walked ahead next to Alex and Natalie. This enraged the Dark World party. Although the Shinrith and Naetir said nothing, they also glared at him.

"Don't walk beside our leader and master, brat." Robert growled, yet Nash ignore him as he walked next to Alex.

"Am I really going to be fine?" Nash asked Alex. "Remember that you won't find someone with Master-rank Mage knowledge who's also this cooperative."

"I know, you'll be safe. Trust me." Alex nodded. He understood how special Nash's situation was and he realizes how unlikely it is to find someone like him again.
