Mary had been sitting down for the past 30 minute observing Eric after he was served jellof spaghetti garnished with ugu (pumpkin) "this guy is good looking" she said to herself.

I didn't mention Mary has an inner hatred for the rich because of the situations her parent went through, she cared about them but they didn't do same leaving her with no choice but to accept her fate.

Eric was done eating when he noticed that he was not with cash which must have been stolen when he crossed a bridge, his account was frozen because of some in securities. what would he do? he didn't know, he decides to walk up to Mary....

Note: when he first came to the restaurant he was with a lady, this happened on the fifth visit.

... he introduced himself and Mary did the same so, he asked her for some money which he would refund later not knowing that Mary worked there.

Mary had some money with her and it was suppose to be used to purchase some groceries but she decided to give it to Eric since he wasn't with any to pay her madam who was not a peaceful person.

Her madam (Ifeoma Igwe) had a rough childhood, growing up with an aunt who maltreated her, she didn't go to school because her thought that it would be a waste of money. she left her aunt to stay with a man who got her pregnant and denied being the father. life was tough for Ifeoma how she got enough capital to establish the restaurant is a long story.she wasn't the type to let her business fall or be manhandled by anyone.

Her son Khalid who is based in Abuja visit her once in while but he changed ever since he saw Mary, he would always visit almost every weekend claiming to miss his mom.
