The first thing Noah did was to spend all his points in the system to purchase an AI similar to Jarvis, which he then connected to Venom, naming it "Alfred."
[It was like a semi-intelligent creature capable of hacking networks and performing many other AI functions, linked to Venom and lacking massive servers, but we'll call it AI for simplicity.]
After linking Alfred to the internet, Noah instructed, "Alfred, hack into all network-connected cameras in Queens and nearby areas to locate Bill Madison—the killer whose photos the police released this morning. Find out where he's hiding and map out his location." Silence followed until Noah heard a deep British voice in his head: "A person resembling the images entered a house in suburban Queens and hasn't left."
As Alfred finished, a map showing the location appeared on the retina of Noah's Venom suit. This was one of the benefits of linking Alfred with Venom—it allowed direct communication with Noah and displayed visuals directly on his retina.
When night fell, Noah opened his window and blended into the night of New York, his only visible feature a pair of glowing white eyes, sending chills down the spines of passersby.
Bill lay on a bed, still in severe pain. Remembering the masked stranger who had hung him from a streetlamp, endless resentment filled his eyes.
Once he regained consciousness, he'd deceived a young passerby into believing he'd been robbed by a group of thieves. After the young man helped him down, Bill picked up a metal rod from a nearby trash can and beat him to death, as he would have enjoyed doing to the masked stranger.
Afterward, he took money from the young man's pockets and left him in the alley, but this didn't lessen his anger for Venom.
Because of the murder, he had to hide here until the New York police lost interest. Then, he'd plan an escape to another state.
Getting up to pour himself a glass of water, Bill muttered, "Damn! Damn you, you bastard! When I recover, that damn Venom won't escape me." Laughing, he seemed to savor a sense of superiority over his enemy.
But he hadn't noticed the dark figure sitting on the couch in the corner. This shadow had been watching him, and as he muttered to himself, its gaze grew colder.
After drinking his water, Bill turned and rubbed his eyes, realizing he could now see someone on the couch.
"Crash!"
The glass fell, shattering on the floor as a black rope suddenly wrapped around his neck, lifting him into the air. Struggling to breathe, his hands clawed at the rope around his neck, his legs kicking to find footing.
Emerging from the shadows was a figure with pale eyes, watching Bill as he hung in the air. Bill finally saw that the "rope" was actually extending from behind this figure like the tentacles of an octopus.
With a rough voice, the figure taunted, "I think I hear you calling for me. Can't wait to receive Venom's judgment, can you?"
Bill's answer was choked back, his eyes rolling as he neared suffocation, his grip weakening.
Then the black rope loosened just enough to drop him to the ground. Gasping, he clutched his neck, breathing heavily.
But before he could fully catch his breath, black tentacles pinned him to the wall. Where they had been soft, they now turned to sharp spears, piercing his limbs. His face dripped with cold sweat as he looked at the demonic figure looming before him.
Venom's face was hidden under a hoodie, his narrow eyes giving Bill a cold stare.
Yes, this was the look of terror he wanted to see—fear in the hearts of criminals so that the innocent wouldn't suffer.
"Now, Mr. Bill, let me explore your mind. I promise it'll be an experience unlike any other. To be honest, it's my first time, too," the rough voice growled like a demon.
Bill shook his head, begging, "No! Oh God, no." He pleaded, but Venom had no intention of granting mercy.
"Scream all you want; this is your last chance to make any noise."
More black tentacles extended from Venom's body, wrapping around Bill's mouth, diving deep into his brain. Bill moaned as information flashed in Noah's mind. He was reading Bill's memories, and soon Noah had learned everything.
Noah realized that this was not Bill's first murder. This sadist had enjoyed torturing his victims, taking pleasure in their suffering. Although he had been a gang member in Italy, he had stolen five million dollars from his gang during an operation and fled to New York.
Later, after a suspected murder, he'd bribed a police officer with three million dollars to get out of jail, where he had only served a year for possessing an unlicensed weapon.
. He couldn't get out because George Stacy was the one who arrested him.
Seeing the memories of Bill murdering the young man filled Noah with guilt, regret, and finally, anger. He withdrew the tentacles from Bill's mouth, leaving him unconscious.
Noah took out medicine from the system, placed it in Bill's mouth, and waited until he woke up.
"Please, I have money. Please, let me go," Bill begged.
As he fell to the floor, he pleaded again, "Stop, please. I have two million. I'll call my contact and transfer it wherever you want," he said, panting heavily.
Noah paused, then instructed, "Alfred, create a fake, untraceable bank account and send it to his phone."
Bill's phone vibrated with a message showing a bank account. Trembling, he called his contact to transfer the money to Alfred's account.
A few minutes later, Noah heard Alfred confirm that two million dollars had been received. Noah then tightened his grip around Bill's neck until he heard bones crack, letting the body drop to the floor.
Noah had come only to disable Bill and leave him for the police. But after seeing his memories, Noah decided to make him the first to die at Venom's hands. He wouldn't be the last.
Stars glittered in the night sky, the moon casting its pale light. Bill had never imagined his hiding place would become his final resting spot.
Noah inhaled deeply, the smell of blood nauseating him. Tonight, he had killed for the first time, fighting the urge to vomit.
Afterward, he found where Bill had hidden the evidence to blackmail the police officer and closed the door behind him as he left the house, vanishing into the night.
On his way home, he took out odor remover from the system store, spraying it over himself before and after removing the suit.
Once home, he showered, lay on his bed, and stared at the ceiling, unable to sleep despite his punishment of Bill.
And so, he lay awake all night.
