The Superpower Serum

"Uh, Li Yue, you should probably get us out of here. We don't seem to be able to leave on our own."

Captain America was a little shocked by Li Yue's merciless decisiveness, but he wasn't about to criticize Li Yue; it wasn't like he had any no-killing principles, so he quickly moved on from that matter.

After watching the two mages leave using the magic circles, he realized that he didn't know how to leave this unknown space, so he could only ask Li Yue to remove the Mirror Dimension magic!

"Oh, right, I almost forgot. Let's go, then!"

Li Yue nodded in understanding at Captain America's request. He waved his hand to open a blue teleportation circle, similar yet different from Mordo and the others' magic, before beckoning the others to enter the portal.

Passing through the circle of light, Li Yue and the others returned to Tony's villa.

"Everyone, take a seat. You can have whatever drink you want in the fridge—go take it yourself, I'm not treating you like a guest!"

Tony's mood immediately became more casual after he went through the portal and recognizing his own home. It wasn't uncommon that people's personality change once they returned to their home, and Tony was no different.

"Welcome home, sir!"

Jarvis' voice greeted them shortly after!

"What happened, Jarvis? I was barely gone for a day. Did a burglar crash this place? The table is all wet!"

Tony asked Jarvis suspiciously when he saw an unknown box on the living room table, along with two cans of drinks and dripping puddle of water.

"…Li Yue, did you do this?"

Tony then immediately turned to Li Yue.

Tony was confident in the security systems of his villa. There's no way that a normal person could intrude into this place, but it would be very easy for Li Yue.

"Uh, when we first came back here, I didn't notice that time was stopped, and we forgot to clean it up when we left in a hurry after noticing it…"

Li Yue felt a little embarrassed of the mess that he left Tony's place in.

"Oh well, as long as it was just you! Also, is that box yours? What's in it?"

Tony moved on rather quickly and changed the topic as he removed his armor.

"Why don't you go take a look?"

Li Yue told Annie to sit on the sofa as they waited for Tony to get out of the armor.

This was the first time that Thor had visited Tony's villa, but he had quickly made himself at home.

He immediately sat on the sofa, putting the Mjolnir and Stormbreaker down on the table. He laid his back on the soft sofa and lazily spread his arm.

Captain America reserved no politeness either. He put down his shield and copied Thor's pose.

Nobody would blame them for this: they had continuously fought Dormammu for almost three hours, so they were understandably tired.

Tony's armor had advanced significantly during the past month. Nanotechnology breakthrough allowed segments of the armor to operate independently, resulting in efficient equip and removal speed, just like the Mark 42 "Anti-Tony Armor" in Iron Man 3.

"Alright, I'm back. Let me see the good stuff, I can't wait!"

It only took Tony a few minutes to change into regular clothes and return to the living room.

"Dang dang dang dang dang dang..."

Li Yue provided a dramatic sound effect as he slowly opened the box he took from The Boys universe, revealing eight blue vials to Tony!

"What's this? A doping agent? A cure for cancer? A regeneration drug?"

Tony took some wild guess as he looked at the blue liquid in the box. He had thought that Li Yue would bring back some schematics, material, or technology samples. He never would've guessed that Li Yue would bring back potions!

Even for a genius scientist like Tony, it would be impossible to know what these drugs are just from looking at it!

"Zero points for you! These are superpower serum that allows ordinary people to obtain unknown superpowers!" Li Yue said cheerfully to Tony.

"...What? Superpower? Something like your teleportation?"

Tony spontaneously exclaimed in shock when he heard Li Yue's explanation. The only real example of superpower Tony had known was Li Yue's ability, which Tony had always been envious of.

Captain America and Thor also became interested when they heard the term "superpower." They turned their eyes to the blue liquid in the box on the table!

"This potion give people superpowers at random, so it's not a controlled choice. Annie, show them your superpower!"

Li Yue explained the caveat before asking Annie to demonstrate.

"Alright!"

Annie readily accepted Li Yue's request and stood up before activating her ability. Her eyes began to shine while the lights of the villa eerily flickered.

Looking for a random target, Annie aimed at a glass window of Tony's villa with her hands. Two dazzling white beams shot out from her palms, shattering the glass with about the same force as Tony's repulsor cannon.

Crash...

The glass pane exploded with a crisp sound. Annie stopped her superpower and sat back down on the sofa, returning the lights around her to normal.

"Not bad! It's about as strong as my repulsor!"

Tony praised Annie; he knew very well about the strength of his windows. They were made of special glass capable of defending against sniper rifles. Yet in front of Annie, as frail as she looked, it was no more durable than paper.

Tony didn't scold Annie for breaking things in his villa. After all, Tony was somewhat of a demolition expert himself: the times he had accidentally destroyed part of his house was beyond counting!

"That's not all. Her body had likely surpassed Steve's. She'd handle a sniper rifle bullet just fine!"

Li Yue pointed at Captain America.

"...oh right, I forgot to introduce you. This is Annie, I brought her from another universe. She doesn't have legal identity in this world, so I would have to trouble you again about this!"

Li Yue suddenly remembered that he had not introduced Annie yet, though everyone present had suspected that she arrived with Li Yue. He only confirmed it to them.

"That's not a big deal—I'll get Jarvis on it. So, is her ability to control light? And she got it from this serum?"

Tony asked cautiously. If that was true, then this potion would be very useful.

If this superpower serum that can mass-produce Iron Man-level superheroes leaked to the public, it could cause great chaos!

Captain America stared at Annie in disbelief. This little girl was actually stronger than him? Furthermore, her ability came from a vial of mysterious liquid, just like his own.

Captain America felt a little cheated. His super-soldier serum had only pushed his body to the limit of human body.

Meanwhile, Annie's potion had given her even stronger physique, and light manipulations on top of that.

"The world is so unfair!"

Steve muttered in his heart as he stared at the blue vials in the box!
