Loki and Thanos

The night soon turned late. Hours passed since the banquet began, and now it was nearing its end!

Despite the minor disruption during the banquet, nobody was frightened or hurt, so it could be said to be a relatively smooth banquet!

Tony entrusted Pepper to send the guests away, as he took care of a more important job (in his opinion) : sending the Justice League members away!

Many things happened today, but all is well that ends well! Of course, Thor, who spent almost half of the day in the bathroom, would disagree!

"Well, all party must sadly end. See you next time!"

Tony watched as the Captain left the villa with T'Challa and the others. Only a few people remained.

"Tony, we'll have to go as well. I'll leave Danny Rand in your care. Until we meet again!"

"Alright, don't worry, Li Yue. I will arrange everything for him!" Tony replied confidently.

Li Yue had nothing else to say! Danny Rand was going back to New York, so he could just let Tony handle it!

He then took Louise back through the portal circle, which quickly disappeared into little blue spark and swept away by the wind!

Li Yue's and Louise's departure made it more convenient to talk about him behind his back!

"Tony, can you tell me how you know this Li Yue? And why does he have so many special abilities? Are all of them so unbelievable as well?"

Rhodes stared at Li Yue's back as Li Yue walked into the blue portal and disappeared. The shock in his heart was endless! He couldn't help but barrage Tony with questions!

"Hehe, Rhodes, the less you know about him, the better. There were nothing to gain from knowing more other than more and more shocks! However, you must keep the matters of us secret!"

Tony patted Rhodes on the shoulder and said earnestly.

"Alright, then. I won't tell anyone." Rhodes obediently stopped questioning Tony. His thought then turned to something that Li Yue had told him in secret. He glanced at Tony from the corner of his eyes and then made his mind!

"Hey, you already have the cool, shiny new armor, yeah? Can you lend me the armor that you're not using anymore?"

"Huh? Lend it to you?" Tony looked at Rhodes in confusion. Rhodes' hopeful expression looked funny for him! He couldn't help but smile, mischief flashing in his eyes!

He then wiped the smile from his face and said flatly: "No!"

He then left Rhodes alone and walked to the laboratory downstairs!

"Goddammit, Li Yue, you liar! Didn't you say that he would agree?"

Rhodes' face instantly froze when he heard Tony's rejection. He complained to Li Yue in his heart!

"Wait, Tony, let's talk about it!" However, Rhodes wasn't so easily deterred. He shouted loudly as he chased after Tony!

There was no real way to stop time, unless you use the Time Stone!

Of course, Li Yue wouldn't use the Time Stone so carelessly, so time marched on. It was now 30th of April, 2012!

Well, it was more that Li Yue didn't know how to use the Time Stone, even after reading so many books about temporal magic in the past two years!

He still couldn't fully activate the Eye of Agamotto even now. He could use some low-level temporal spell with it, but none of them were really relevant in battle!

Only now did he truly appreciate how much of a monster Doctor Strange was. That guy could freely use the time Stone only after a few months of studying! No wonder Ancient One chose him as the next Sorcerer Supreme!

"I might not have much talent in learning magic! But fortunately, I don't have a life either, so time isn't a problem anyways!"

Li Yue mood relaxed as he drank refreshing tea in the ancient hall of Kamar-Taj. He felt lighter, as if his soul was cleansed!

He no longer worried all that much about not being able to use the Time Stone!

"It's already 2012...I have no idea when will Loki invade Earth. If he comes earlier, I can plan to contact the Tesseract sooner!"

Li Yue sighed in his heart. He hadn't been able to absorb a powerful energy source for quite a while, relying only on his daily cultivation. The stars in his mind began to light up, but it was incredibly slow. His fourth star had only completely lit up a couple days ago!

But finally, he could travel to the next world whenever he wanted!

But Li Yue wouldn't just leave Marvel world because he could. He was afraid to miss the opportunity to intervene during Loki's invasion of Earth!

If he missed the invasion, he would have to go to Asgard to contact the Tesseract again!

Why didn't he just snatch Tesseract from SHIELD?

He did think of doing that from time to time!

But when he investigated the SHIELD base that was shown in the Avengers movie to be the place where Tesseract was researched, he only found an empty base. The Cube must've been moved elsewhere!

Therefore, Li Yue had to shelve that idea. Of course, he could just interrogate that soy egg and force the baldie to give him the Tesseract, but Li Yue wasn't a villain. He didn't want to do that!

Loki's arrival became the only good opportunity that Li Yue was eagerly waiting for! Though, he also couldn't determine whether the events would conclude the same way after his intervention.

...

At the same time, on a huge spaceship countless light years away from Earth, there was a special conversation going on!

"Who are you? Why are you here?"

The one asking those question in a deep voice was a giant more than two meters tall. His strong body was clad in a golden armor, and he sat atop a floating throne as a slender person stood before him!

Beside him, a very thin monster that looked like an octopus was standing respectfully!

"Your Majesty, Thanos! My name is Loki, of Asgard!"

The slender person before the giant replied respectfully!

"Oh? Of Asgard? What are you to Odin?"

The giant continued his interrogation, bemused by the reply!

"Odin...used to be my father, but not anymore!" Loneliness flashed on Loki's face, but he quickly wiped it away!

"My Lord, Thanos, I have heard that you wished to obtain the Tesseract! And I happen to know where the artifact is! It is on a planet called Earth!

"I had once put a special mark on the Cube. If you would so help me, I can use the mark to teleport directly to the Tesseract's location! Then, I could personally see to it that it would be delivered to Your Majesty!"

Loki's expression was confident, despite his reverent tone!

"Oh? You request for my help, then? What else do you need?"

The giant on the throne became very interested when he heard the Tesseract being mentioned!

"I need an invincible army to conquer the planet! And once I succeed, I request that you let me rule over Earth as its one true king!"

Loki's voice was dripping with venom, as he recalled his experience with the planet!

"Then I shall agree with your request!"
