"You want to quit? Why?"

Billy and Frenchie turned to Hughie with a serious expressions! Frenchie was the one who asked him!

"I don't want to live in fear anymore. I'm just an ordinary person. I can't beat those Supes!

"Didn't you see it? That guy just flicked his finger, and he instantly obliterated Translucent, even though we had tried countless ways to kill Translucent! How are we supposed to win against that guy, huh?

"I have a father at home. I can't bring all this to him. So I want to quit!"

Hughie ranted in an angry tone. All the feelings he had suppressed the last few days exploded at this moment!

Billy and Frenchie fell silent at Hughie's rant. Yes, how could we defeat such an abnormal person!

"Alright, just let it all out! After you're done venting, we'll talk about how to approach Popclaw!"

After nearly a minute of silence, Billy was the first to break the ice!

"Like I said, I want to quit! Who the fuck would help you with Popclaw! I just want to go home and see my father!"

Hughie suddenly roared at Billy. This was the first time that Hughie had spoken so loudly to Billy. It seemed that today's events had really scarred Hughie's heart!

"I know that what just happened was a big blow to you. It's the same with us. But don't talk about quitting ever again. We're not a fucking band, you can't just quit!

"Don't forget, Translucent just died in your hands! You have Supe blood all over you. It's in your best interest to join us!"

Billy's tone gradually grew colder with Hughie's roar. He stepped forward and confronted Hughie with serious eyes!

"I didn't. I didn't kill Translucent. It was that person. It was he who killed Translucent. It has nothing to do with me..."

Hughie's cowardice began to surface again. He denied that he had killed Translucent, but he avoided Billy's eyes. He unconsciously took a step back!

"Don't lie to yourself. I saw it very clearly. You pressed the button on the remote control. If not for that guy, this entire room would be splattered with Translucent's blood! Including your body!

"Don't even try to deny that you killed Translucent with your own hands! You have blood on your hands. If you quit, I will tell it to everyone. You and your family would never escape the Seven!"

Billy approached Hughie step by step, threatening words coming from his mouth. Hughie was forced to retreat by Billy's imposing manner and words until his back hit the hard wall. Only then did he have to stop!

Hughie's eyes were filled with fear. He had never seen Billy like this. Billy seemed to be even more terrifying than those superhumans, making Hughie shiver with just words. All the hair on Hughie's body stood up.

The room fell into a dead silence. Billy stared at Hughie, who was too scared to say anything!

"Alright, alright, enough with the fighting now. We just went through a life-or-death situation. Billy, don't push Hughie too far!"

Frenchie quickly tried to defuse the situation, pulling Billy away from Hughie!

"And you, Hughie, don't talk nonsense about quitting. We finally got rid of Translucent, why are you quitting? We have the same goal, right? We should be partners that trust each other!"

Frenchie then turned to Hughie, who still had his back against the wall.

"I'll take you two's silence as yes. C'mon, let's cheer for our new team!"

Frenchie took the lead and extended his right hand!

Billy had nothing to lose by joining in, so he placed his right hand on Frenchie's!

Hughie was silent for a few seconds, but after seeing Frenchie's encouraging eyes, he finally joined in.

"Today marks the establishment of our team. We only have one goal: getting rid of those sons of bitches in the seven!

"For our goal."

The three of them shouted the last word together, Hughie's voice was a little soft, but he shouted nonetheless!

"Now, let's talk about Popclaw!"

Li Yue had no idea what happened between those three, nor did he care! In any case, his goal was very clear: to steal all of Homelander's strength!

For that purpose, Li Yue had stayed in Vought's employment for almost a week, sticking close to Homelander. Other than sleeping and going to the toilet, he was basically always within 20 meters from Homelander.

Right now, it was at the point that people would cheer and even surround Li Yue like monkeys if he so much as stepped out of the building!

Ever since the first time he got surrounded by people, Li Yue stopped going out alone. He had never been an internet celebrity or a star in his previous life, so he had no experience in dealing with these situations. All he could do was make a lot of jokes!

And of course, the damned media used his jokes as news material the very next day. Li Yue almost couldn't hold himself from destroying the media company!

"Thunderclap, stop drinking; we need to go. The police called us again!"

Homelander stopped his eavesdropping and greeted Li Yue, who was drinking coffee!

He didn't wait for Li Yue's reply and immediately picked up Li Yue, before flying out of the Vought Tower to the scene of the incident!

Dozens of seconds later, Li Yue and Homelander landed outside a bank. The bank had already been tightly surrounded by the police, but for some reason, the police did not take any action!

"Sir, what's going on?"

Homelander asked the policeman who approached him.

"A group of robbers robbed the bank and took dozens of hostages. Men, women, and even children! They all had guns and bombs. We had no choice but to call you!"
